Well I know he was assassinated but...really? I don't know if the recent event you state might be the issue..but....if it is....that's foolish. Most people don't know about X beyond angry black man during the civil rights era (which is sad cuz he sure changed before his end)

According to The Digital Bits:
And Warner has just released a statement saying that the previously-announced 1/25 Blu-ray release of Malcolm X has been delayed because of a music clearance issue. All parties are apparently working toward a resolution, but until that happens WHV is no longer distributing the title. Hopefully, the situation will get resolved soon.

So, seriously...what's the difference in music clearance from the dvd editions to a BD edition?

Well, if there's one thing I know, it's that IGN is a reliable source of information about Blu-rays.

Yeah, it seems as though they decided to just cancel it altogether for the time being. I'm not particularly happy about it (this is easily one of my most anticipated Blu-ray releases). I just hope Warner Bros resolves the rights issues soon and we aren't stuck waiting until Black History month next year.

Super. Now showing not available at bn.com, where I preordered it as a B2G1 item. I bet I'm going to have a hard time with this one.

Spike Lee tweeted the following today:
"Malcolm X -BluRay has not been cancelled, just delayed. I will get release date soon. I know Y'all are gonna cop it right away. Remastered Yo"
Looks like there's still hope for this release.

Can someone translate what that 12 year old tweeted?
