I'm so glad the original track is there. Remixes are just as bad as changing the OAR.

Why didn't you just pre-order from Amazon for $12.99 like the rest of us?

Re: Halloween II -- 9/13/11

From the Blu-ray.com Halloween II thread, which has completely unraveled. (Do they even have mods there?)

(Terror in the Aisles) is 1.85:1 or maybe 1.78:1 and looks fantastic, Full 1080p too which was a surprise as I thought it might have been interlaced. It's had a full restoration. As for Halloween II itself it looks gorgeous, Colour and contrast are bang on there is loads of fine detail and best of all Universal haven't DNR'ed it to oblivion like most of their catalogue releases.

I like how BD-Live (a trailer portal) and a useless App gets more space then the actual Special Features (for a film which generally has been treated like shit in that department).

God bless Universal.

They've always treated their two entries of the franchise like shit, why stop now?

Nothing new for Universal - The Thing has a massive banner for the 'U-CONTROL' function on the back, and American Werewolf's back cover also crows about the exciting BD-LIVE BLU-RAY™ EXCLUSIVE*. Ugh.

Thanks for the price update on Amazon. I missed the $12.99 the first time and was holding off hoping it would drop again too.

Barnes & Noble has the pre-order for $11.99. I'm wondering if it will show up cheaper in a B&M ad next week...

It's not mentioned in next week's Target ad. Have not seen the Best Buy ad yet.

I doubt it will be in any ad, but I have a feeling it will be found for $9.99 to $12.99

Now that it's back to $12.99, I preordered. These reviews have me far too excited.

Re: Halloween II -- 9/13/11

Since it's a special feature on this BD, I'll mention it here. Cinemax HD just aired Terror in the Aisles about 1 month ago. For a film/documentary thats almost 27 years old, I thought the transfer was actually quite good. Although the film does show it's age and there is some really bad acting in the theatre segments featuring Pleasance and Allen. I'm looking forward to seeing it on the BD.

Some of the montage music is pretty wince-inducing too: "I'm rootin' for the shaaark!"

Surprised that we haven't seen any reviews yet - with this being on the shelves early, I thought there would at least be some screencaps floating around.

Re: Halloween II -- 9/13/11

I went ahead and pre-ordered it now that the price has gone down. It's not nearly as good as the first Halloween, but I still enjoy watching it, especially during the Horror Challenge.

Terror In The Aisles in HD is also a big plus...
