I'll buy it but it's "currently unavailable" on Amazon.

They always post the Warner Archive listings early (and probably tons of other products), then activate them for purchasing afterward.

I’m also familiar with Blade of Fury but I definitely don’t know the rest of the films.

Big Bullet is worth owning. A notch or two below the best of Woo. Theresa Lee is a real cutie.

I'd say they're all worth owning, although I still wish another company had the rights for North America. Just can't see Warner contracting for decent supplements on these – and all of them are worthy of such treatment to varying degrees – and I also don't believe we'll ever see that library getting released with the kind of regularity we're seeing from 88 Films, Eureka and Spectrum. I do hope to be proven wrong, of course.

Warner Archive's George Feltenstein on future Golden Harvest releases:

Can't give any timeframe. "We have an edict that any Golden Harvest title we work on starts with a brand new 4K scan of the negative, adn there are some titles being scanned as we speak. We know what films the fans want the most, and we hope to be getting them out there, and to it in a way that everybody will be happy with."

Great to hear, Adam. Is that from a recent podcast?

They could easily run a Golden Harvest sublabel.

It is!

There’s a ton of good info there (including his outlook on the market for physical media, Popeye, Wyatt Earp, A Star Is Born, Superman 4, Esther Williams movies, Technicolor restorations, Around the World in 80 Days, Raintree County, and the state of the RKO library, but I figured the Golden Harvest comments would be of most interest to folks here. (You expressly in mind!)

Too bad it's unlikely Drunken Master 2 would be re-done under this new edict.

Good news indeed. Hopefully they will license Summer Snow to Criterion.

Don’t be so sure they won’t squeeze us for more and release a UHD.

Re: Warner Archive goes Blu -- whoddathunkit?

No releases for November, but we’re getting Night of the Iguana and Attack of the 50 Foot Woman in December! Both are from new 4K remasters from their OCNs. 2023 will look more like 2021, following this relatively disappointing year, including vintage animation, around 50 feature films, and maybe some new TV content.

Considering the last proper release of the film was the Hong Kong LD import from the mid-90's, it would be worth it.

It could have been better for sure, but I'll take the Warner Archive blu over the laserdisc any day of the week.

From HMV. However, HMV does not ship to the U.S.

Same old transfers and cut versions with extra crap you don't need.

Now that I will be picking up release week. A big surprise to see that line-up of HB cartoon movies.

That Hanna-Barbera set is definitely tempting!

Re: Warner Archive goes Blu -- whoddathunkit?

Why don't they come out with some big ass box sets of Looney Tunes rather than a little here and a little there?
