Bring on Abre Los Ojos instead, although I don't think Paramount has this title.

Nice! One of the rare remakes that I find every bit as good as the original.

That movie seems to have gotten a lot of necessary flack over the years, I remember thoroughly enjoying it.

Artisan doesn't exist anymore. They were absorbed into Lionsgate. Whether that means that Lionsgate still has the rights to Abre Los Ojos, I have no idea.

I never understood all the hate for it...closeted Scientologist notwithstanding.

I've never understood all the distribution stuff. I can't imagine there's a tremendous amount of value left in the original Spanish version. I would think it could be licensed for a reasonable amount of money. You may say I'm a dreamer....

Good to hear, I've always enjoyed the film. Keep forgetting Kurt Russell is in it...

The original also stars Penelope Cruz, a big enough star for the Hispanic market to sell copies due to her name alone.

Amazon's pre-order page has been updated to April 15th, 2014! Here's the cover artwork floating around for it:

Very excited that it looks like it's finally getting released.

Could be to coincide with Edge of Tomorrow Blu-ray release - based on that movie's theatrical date 10/14 could be the home release.

Pre-order price has dropped to $9.09 on Amazon. Placed an order just in case.

re: Vanilla Sky BD finally released - no kidding

Seems like such a minor title to keeping messing with the release date. It's a catalog title that most people probably aren't looking for, they should just release it already. (I'm just talking in terms of general public interest, not quality of the film. I enjoyed the film and am awaiting this release)

I think they're having trouble with the 3D conversion...
