X-Men: Days of Future Past Blu - Late Summer/Fall

Amazon already has the preorder links up, along with an exclusive. I really liked this movie, I'll definitely be picking this up.

What's the word on the extras? I'm betting there are some treats in the deleted scenes. Are they locking them to the 3-D version like they did with the last installment?

I hope they don't do something like they did with The Wolverine and have an exclusive cut with the 3D.

I'd like an extended cut of the film. Would like to see the Rogue rescue by Bobby and Erik.

I won't pre-order until I find out what's on each set. After The Wolverine I don't want to get stuck with a stripped down version.

but does the extended edition actually improve that movie?

Depends on what you're wanting out of the improvement, but I think so.

No and yes. But mostly no. The only improvements are a minor scene when Mariko rescues Logan and an awesome scene with Yukio, ninjas, and a snowplow. The rest is just one or two extra f-bombs (which diminish the single use of an f-bomb in the theatrical cut) and some inconsistent CGI blood throughout.

If The Wolverine bored you, the extended cut isn't going to make a significant difference. For those of us that liked the original movie as is, I think it makes it a bit better and more fun.

in all honesty, a lot of movies lately haven't kept my attention - put me in a dark room, at a matinee where there aren't that many annoying people and I'll nod off. I actually like Origins more than Wolverine - but of course the fact that Liev Schreiber was in it, helped considerably.

You liked Origins more than The Wolverine?

Can we remove moderator status from Giles after that remark?

Both Wolverine-solo films aren't that good, but Origins better than Wolverine? Really?

Origins is one of the worst films of the past five years.

FYI, the other Metalpacks are $8 this week as well. Except The Wolverine, which is $15.

I took a look at the recent wave of Metalpaks at Target, and they had the old spine with the annoying hinge. I think the publicity images posted in this thread are probably concept art pasted into a Photoshop template that isn't necessarily accurate to what the physical case will look like.

Yeah, don't care for how the spines look (which is something you do see more than the cover art).. decided to pass on all of them.
