Re: Vestron Video Collector's Series (Lionsgate)

If anyone is looking for copies of The Wraith (1986) or Sundown: The Vampire In Retreat (1989), check Walmart.

I found copies for $12.96 earlier today.

I read that Coppola went into his private collection for this film and assisted with the restoration process, which I believe will be a 4K transfer/restoration which is great.
I think I own it in one of those 50 horror movies packs but I’ve still never seen the movie in its entirety. I’ll have to check it out this Halloween season.

Re: Vestron Video Collector's Series (Lionsgate)

The $12.96 is a winner for me. I will usually wait a year or four for a title to come down in price before buying it. But new release with a slip for $12.96 I am going to be buying in the first week or two.

Re: Vestron Video Collector's Series (Lionsgate)

Best Buy is carrying Dementia 13 (1963) in-stores for $11.99

I didn't pick-up a copy at any of the B&Ms I visited because they all had slipcovers smashed in the exact same places. Very odd.

Normally, I don't care about slipcovers but I have all the Vestron slipcovers, so at this point, why not keep up the trend?

I'll probably try checking a few Best Buy B&M closer to where I work over the next few days.

Re: Vestron Video Collector's Series (Lionsgate)

I finally found a copy of Dementia 13 (1963) at Best Buy that wasn't beat to hell

Strange that out of all (4) Best Buy B&M stores I went to, the ones that carried the film had packaging damage all in the same spots.

Possibly all from the same distributor or warehouse?

Re: Vestron Video Collector's Series (Lionsgate)

Any chance they're going to knock the previously released Vestron Collectors Series releases down to the $12 price range?

I'd actually pick up most of the ones I don't already have if they did.

Same here. There’s I few I’d pick up if they dropped.

I could imagine Lionsgate blowing them out at some future sale on Amazon or something. There's no way the ones priced above $20 have sold much.

Amazon has Little Monsters for $7.50 right now. I don't know if that's the lowest that it's been, but it's got to be close if it isn't.

If you didn't want Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh, you really don't want Candyman 3: Day of the Dead.

In all honesty, I'd only be buying the third film because I have all the Vestron BD releases before it.

Watched Steel Dawn this evening. I thought it was pretty grainy for being "Digitally Restored" and on BD.

I’ve never seen it and heard it’s awful, but pre-ordered Candyman: Day of the Dead. Might as well complete the collection.
