I received my set just like Fedea - got mine today.
It IS the 2-DVD-set, BUT: didn't someone say that SCENT OF GREEN PAPAYA was shot in 1.85:1? I just ask because I thought I heard that and therefore skipped the US release, which also was FULLSCREEN - now I am confused BUT happy with me 2 DVDs!
Any comments gladly appreciated,

are you saying that your newly arrived French DVD version of Scent Of Green Papaya is fullscreen??
It is listed as 4:3 on the specs, meaning it's letterboxed, and not anamorphic...
Please confirm!

I just bought and returned The Scent of Green Papaya, because I realized when I came home that it was Pan & Scan. Ouch! I bit in the sour apple. Anyway, I returned it and got Va Savoir instead.
