I placed my first order last week and received my goods (Ring trilogy) today. Faster than alot of retailers I've dealt with here in the U.S. I can't recommend these guys enough. Awesome.

Ok I am starting to get worried about my order. I paid them with paypal on the 3rd and have yet to hear anything from them. I emailed them twice with no response. Should I be worried? I think next time I might try blackstar. Maybe I will be able to use my debit card with them.

I wouldn't worry yet. The first time it took almost a week before they responded to my order and that was to ask if I knew what I was purchasing was R2. It took almost another week to get a shipment confirmation and then another week to get it. The 2nd order I placed took about half the time.
On another note, I just had to send back a defective copy of Armour of God yesterday. Since they have a good track record, I probably won't give it a second thought unless I don't hear anything by April.

Thanks pwong. Guess you were right. I received an email from them this morning saying that my order was all right and that it would be dispatched shortly. Hope it's not much longer. At this rate I will have my Malata before I get the dvd's hehe.

Just a quick followup on anybody who might be curious about BensonsWorld exchanges.
I returned my defective Armour of God disc on 3/12. Just when I thought about it yesterday afternoon, a new copy was waiting for me, 3/28. Just a hair over 2 weeks (incl. weekends).
The case was broken such that the bottom tab won't "snap" entirely shut, but the disc was pristine. The hazard of getting a single disc shipped overseas I guess.

I've already had a few returns with Bensonsworld. I've had a few defective Hong Kong Legends discs (purely due to poor mastering, not shipping problems or anything Bensons can control.) It irked me that I had to pay shipping especially to UK. I've had to send the same DVD back twice, so they said I could send it back and either have them credit back my card or I could pick out something else. So.... I picked out the new Police Story 2 to replace my twice defective Blacksheep Affair which I got on sale for £9.99.

DVD purchases warning
Going through a surprising experience right now and wanted to share. Has the following happened to anybody else?
I recently ordered a HKL DVD from Bensonsworld. In the past, I have had no problems ordering from them so with their recent sale I was eager to urchase more. I got my shipment notification early last week and the package arrived this past Saturday. Sunday morning and I decide to watch it (City Hunter) and to my total shock, the DVD case is empty save for the little paper survey HKL puts out with every DVD.
On closer inspection and reflection, I noticed that the DVD wrapping on the case's opening edge was already opened all the way down. While the cardboard packaging didn't appear altered, it seems someone had carefully opened the plastic, removed the case and taken out the DVD before replacing the case and sealing the package for air mail.
I've contacted Bensonsworld and am hoping they offer to replace the disc (I'll send everything back if they want). As they have been great for my HKL purchases, I don't want to single them out for this incident, so this is just a general warning.
I was hapy when I gave the package a little shake to hear no rattling - now I know why. So the next time you order some DVDs, give the case a little shake and listen for the small ratlle of a DVD. In this case, maybe a loose disc is a good thing!

I picked up Miracles and Legend of a Fighter, ordered them two weeks ago, took a week to arrive (unlike my first bensons order which took over two weeks) and they are both, thankfully, fine.

As for loose discs in the case. HKL is responsible for that. Their cases totally suck and the double case for GOD. I swear 90% of those were floaters from what I've heard.

Like others have pointed out I had received intial emails asking if I knew that I was ordering R2 discs, and in one case they pointed out to me that I had denoted two copies of the Mummy/Mummy Returns Ultimate Box, I was very glad they asked since I only wanted one copy.

Since bensons is always the cheapest when shipping to the us, I continue to order from them. The timeliness of the shipping is a little irregular and I had a larger order with them that was shipped in 4 parts. Two of the parts never arrived. It took several weeks for them to send out a replacement package, but they eventually did, and I received it.

Reminder to self: I better check my unopened HKL titles and make sure there's a disc in there !

Here's my bensonsworld.co.uk experience.
• Placed the order on 08.12.
• Received the "this is r2 you dumb schmuck" email on 08.14 [i supposed I could've avoided this by emailing them and letting them know I already knew this...]
• Replied on the 14th. Received a reply to my reply an hour later.
• Received an "order despatch" email on the 16th.
• the DVD was at my doorstep on the 19th.
• the DVD was NOT a floater.
This was my first experience with them. I only ordered with them after reading this thread. [In fact -- I think this is how I discovered them...] So based on this experience I plan on ordering many more DVDs from them. The price is good -- the Miami Vice DVD I ordered was $17.79[US] compared to Amazon which was $19.84[US]. Granted, it was only two dollars...but throw in free shipping and that IMO is a good deal.
So all in all this was a positive experience.
The first of many I hope.
