avdeals legit?
Someone please tell me if you have to say only certain "terminology" to order a Malata player from Avdeals. They seem very fishy about someone ordering one of these players. The website says that both models are in stock, but after calling them on the phone, they very strangely say that they are "no longer available". Now I know that the site recently said this about the N990, but then was updated to show that it was available to purchase. However, the N960 is what I want and it says "instock" but the weirdos on the phone say no.
Anyway, if no one knows the correct words to say to purchase one, could you tell me where I can get one that isn't much more expensive that is reliable? Please???

You can get the Malata cheaper from www.nbtelectronics.com .
I bought my Malata from AVDeals back in August and I had no problems. I recently had the player start acting strange and I found out that Malata Canada gives all players a 1 year warranty. They repaired it and it shipped back to me yesterday.

I believe they are not taking any more online orders for the 996 as a new Malata model is on the way.(dvp-520) There might be a new model for the 990 as well. Their site hasn't been updated yet to reflect this.

I had a bad time w/ AV"deals" myself. I went with goldenshop in HK for my new Malata & I had no problems.
Someone from NBT is always sticking up for the company on nerd-out, but they seem to care about their customers.

Thanks to dyer's recommendation, I went with nbt. Great service. Got the player decently fast. The customer service was excellent. I called avdeals when I was shopping around and asked them some questions about the 996. The guy acted like he didn't want to be bothered. So I didn't bother them with the money from my wallet. nbt was very helpful with any questions, whether on the phone or email. Their price came out cheaper than avdeals so it really was a no brainer.

Almost became an AVDeals victim
Well, I though AVDeals was the best deal on the net, and I had seen many reviews of the Malata. But After reading more I had found just as many good experiences with AVdeals as well as bad ones. But I have seen nothing but good reviews with NBT.
And I kept forgetting thta NBT was Canadian so I thought that $399 was US Dollars. It actually works out to about $250. I'll be ordering from them in a few days, and I'll be expecting some R3 DVD's in the mail soon too, so evrything will hopefully work out great.

Great customer service. My e-mail was answered within hours.

Just wanted to chime in to say that I've had a good experience with AVDeals. I ordered my Malata on Saturday, April 6 and it was delivered to Madison, WI on Tuesday, April 9. I must have been one of the last to get it from them before they ran out. At the time I didn't know NBT was selling it for a little less, but I'm certainly not disappointed.
