Die Another Day R2

So has anyone actually purchased the disc to determine whether the notorious sex scene is actually longer than the US version?

Im also curious about the extra features. Im having a hard time deciding between the Region 1 and 2. If anyone can give specifics about the extra footage and extra features, that would be very appreciated.

Well I have the R2 version, but as I didn't see the US version, I can't tell you, but the sex scene is really not long, so I hope that it can't be shorter on any other version.
I didn't have time to watch the extra features yet, but as soon as I do I'll let you know!

There is an exclusive R2 documentary that runs about 50 minutes that is different than the making of documentary but contains some of the same things.

However, the R2 exclusive documentary is also given away as a bonus DVD if you purchase the R1 at Circuit City (in the US). Additionally, there is yet another exclusive bonus documentary DVD ("Bond Girls Are Forever") that is a giveaway with the DAD at Best Buy...

Don't care about the documentaries. Just want to know about the sex. You can tell where my priorities are!

Anyone?

I believe the HK R3 version is same as R1 version, as the box displays the same running time.

according to here, there doesn't appear to be any difference in the movie content...

Actually, I don't believe it is. The short featurette "Shaken and Stirred" is on that bonus DVD, but not the "Script to Screen" documentary, which is the R2 exclusive.

Trinitron... I was misinformed. You're absolutely correct. I guess that makes one doc exclusive to region 2 and two featurettes exclusive to R1 (if you're willing to buy the DVD twice). Aargh.

This comparison was posted before the actual release. It may be true that they are uncut relative to their theatrical release in the respective areas, but was the theatrical release different? Has anyone done a direct comparison of the R1 and R2 since the release date to see if there are any differences?

I'd really like to know the answer to the cut shots question as well- I'm very surprised it hasn't been answered yet! Perhaps a mod can modify the thread title to reflect the desire for comparisons by UK posters in order to draw attention to this thread?
