$25.00 ain't bad! I'd jump on it. Their site seems good.... they deal with paypal. You should be okay.

For all I know they're identical, but be aware that this is the Thai DVD, not the Japanese version.

Hm, I wonder how the Thai version of Internal Affairs is... it's only $16.50...

I gave this a shot. I don't think the R3 has all the features of the R2 Japan, but it is uncut, and 13 bucks cheaper.

I opted for free shipping over $50 by adding Freddy Vs. Jason and Versus for a grand total of $57 and change.

There was good communication and they actually already shipped Freddy and Versus at no additional charge. Kill Bill remains in preorder. I'll give an update when it ships...

Be careful. It's PAL, not NTSC.

That's weird. I was told that most releases over there are NTSC if they were a major american film.

Weird.

Got the same. Can't wait to watch this again. In another thread people are guessing the quality won't be very good on this, but if it is uncut, that is what matters to me at this point. When the box set gets released domestically, I am sure I won't have a problem upgrading at that point...

Just because a DVD is not a bootleg does not mean it will be good quality. There are plenty of official discs that have poor picture quality. Thai discs are usually just not as good as the same discs from other countries.

Did you happen to ask about special features? I was wondering if this edition will have any of the extras that the Japanese one has, or the HK R3 for that matter. On their site it does not list any at all. Just curious...thanks!

Well, great news people...
Time to cancel your preorder with this site and get it at CD-WOW.net.

By using the $1 off link you can get the R3 HK release (yes, same as the Japanese cut) in NTSC for 17.95 shipped.

Hmm...it doesn't look like the R3 release has English subs, though.

"Fight scenes: Black & White and Colour" This was listed under the description at CDwow for the R3 version. Wouldn't this lead one to believe that it's not uncut (infamous bloodbath scene was in B&W for the US version and color for the version abroad)? I'd like to order it, but am hesitant in trusting email responses from them-unless someone here can verify?

Ron

PS: As far as english subs-the movie is listed as having a DTS english soundtrack, so am I missing something as to why that is a concern

I suppose you could always memorize what they were saying during the Japanese scenes, but I'd still rather have English subs.

Joe thanks for answering my question .

FYI:
There is a discussion HTF "regional" forum about CDwow confirming that the R3 version they have listed will not be the uncut version that we are all interested in. They have removed the term "uncut" from the listing and added the phase that I mentioned above.

I guess one could assume that the Japanese version (at this point) will be the only version that will be uncut?
