Why is the UK Spinal Tap SE 2-Disc If It Is The Same As The U.S. 1-Disc Version?

Can someone please explain this? I'm lost. Thanks.

Surely the phrase '2 disc special edition' has a certain allure that 'single double-sided disc' doesn't.

Also, the set comprises a DVD5 and a DVD9, suggesting it may not have fit onto one DVD10.

Maybe the higher res PAL transfer had something to do with it too.

Beware of the UK R2 however, as MGM have really stuffed up the on-screen captions, mixing text from the subtitle stream with burnt-in captions, often on the same frame!
