CDWow have removed the Region 3 from pre-sale due to them being inundated with orders.

I'm sure it'll reappear once they get guaranteed stock.

I hope they get my order to me!

The German dvd of the Director's Cut will be released next weeks thursday. The movie opened in Germany three weeks later than in the US. I wonder why Universal is keeping you Americans waiting so long.

just to let all customers of Play-Asia.com know, they got enough stock to fill all open orders before their estimated day of shipping and even have some more stock for new orders.

best regards Maurice

My PlayAsia order also shipped today after I got a call from Bank of America asking me why I was ordering something from China.

That's freakin' hilarious. I dumped Bank of America long ago because they are a bunch of freaks when it comes to banking. Anyway, I got shipment confirmation today from PlayAsia, also, and I placed my order on the 9th.

Play-Asia shipped mine today too...only 2 days after ordering. Can't fregging wait!!! This and "Goodfellas" SE is already on the way from Digital Eyes...gonna have some great DVD watching to do on my week off next!!

For those who have ordered single DVD's from Play-Asia and live in the states (perhaps East Coast), how long exactly has it taken to get to you? Thanks.

Anyone have a mini review of the A/V and stuff for the R3? Please post comments.

Also, is it anamorphic?

One is a videotape of Andy the gun guy, apparently found by survivors, that has Andy talking to a camera, documenting the whole ordeal. Shows what Andy is going through, when he's not on the roof.

Another is news coverage, up until the news goes off the air, which is pretty entertaining.

The deleted scenes (bonus features, not the ones included in the Director's cut) are ok, but were good cuts and better left off the movie.

Anybody that liked the movie but wasn't sure to buy...this is definately worth it. Picture quality was good, and the sound was awesome, alot of surround work (screams and such), and plenty of use of the sub. The extras were entertaining and worth watching.

Just my $.02
I dont have a high end or even a WS tv, so cant attest much to the pic quality, but looked great to me.

got mine Friday. Watch a little of it. The audio and video don't seem any different from the R1s I have.

I'll write up a full review this weekend.

Is there a reason to order this over the R1 other than getting it NOW instead of later? I mean, does it have great packaging or better extras or anything?

A few weeks earlier wouldn't really matter, I think - but this is almost 3 months earlier - big difference.

As far the rest, I think the HK cover is a lot better than the R1, but the trasfer and the extras are all the same. But ultimately, at $19, it's basically the same price as it would be if it came out here.

I guess the main reason to get this is if you were planning on getting it anyway, and the extras are the same and the price is about the same then why not have it early?
