DVD releases in Germany in March & beyond....

Here are a few DVD releases for March that might be of interest, i believe none of these movies are available in other regions.
The MGM titles are usually being released in the UK a week after the German release and all titles have English audio.
There are also titles which have never been released as PAL but are available as NTSC release which is why i don't mention those unless there is interest on those too.

Geronimo (1962)
Man of the West (1958)
Invitation to a Gunfighter (1964)
Oh What a Night (1992)
The Good Shepherd (2004)
Deadly Friend (1986)
Mindhunters (2004) Yes this is the Renny Harlin movie
Namu, the Killer Whale (1966)
Stargate Atlantis Season 1 Vol 1.1

If there is interest i can make this list a regular feature.
I run an import business for DVDs, i only sell stuff like Hongkong flicks, WWE and so on, so i don't stock or sell any German releases, however if anyone has trouble getting these from Amazon.de or other stores i could help out.
Also if you have other question regarding German releases i'd be happy to help, since this forum with its extensive list of sources worldwide has helped me a lot :-)

Mindhunters was released on December 9th 2004 here in Holland. It's very cheap now too:

Hi,

Do you know if there's a decent PAL DVD of the Geman WW2 film The Bridge (Die Bruecke) available, with English subtitles? There seems to be an NTSC/R1 available but I'd prefer a PAL version if at all possible.

Arthaus released Die Brücke in Germany and they are the worst company as far as subtitles or alternative audio streams go. That release has German Audio and nothing else unfortunately.

I would be very interested in your assistance....as far as German films are concerned. Though 99% of them seem to come out without subs I would be interested in any info you could supply...

I heard there's a Spag. Western titled "Wanted" starring Giuliano Gemma released in German DVD - but I can't seem to find it in amazon.de. Is it truly available? How about the spec?

Djangoman:

Wanted was released on 21st of January 2005, i only found one online store that has it listed, its in Austria. The reason for this is, the DVD does not have an FSK rating, any movie that does not have a rating is considered to be unsuitable for minors and cannot be sold online and may not be advertised for.

This is the Austrian store: http://shop.dtm.at/product_info.php?products_id=26169

However, they do not accept credit cards or Paypal, you would have to do a bank transfer to their account. The movie itself is 19,99 Euro, postage is not mentioned all they say is: For postage to other countries contact us when ordering.

I am ecstatic! I've been looking for a decent copy of Faccia a Faccia and La Resa dei Conti for years.

Does anyone know if the Downfall dvd (der untergang) will have english or french subtitles? I have ordered it but will cancel if there is no subtitles.

I thought that most european dvds had several subtitles streams but someone in this thread said most german dvds don't have subtitles!(?). Amazon doesn't list subtitles.

I spent quite a bit of time looking for this this title this afternoon and the only available edition at this time is the German one, and it only has German audio/subs.

Sprachen: Dolby Digital 5.1 in Deutsch, DTS Digital 5.1 in Deutsch
Untertitel: Deutsch

Je sais mais je ne vais plus au cinema depuis longtemps, je suis plus capable d'endurer le monde et d'écouter un film dans des conditions aussi mauvaises qu'au cinéma. I'm spoiled by my home theater!

Djangoman: I would imagine anyone offering shipping to anywhere in the world should be able to communicate in English.

Send them an email in English and see what you get: [email protected]

Ah, ilovetv, I've e-mailed them but they don't answer. Maybe they don't receive international order - or is it because I'm Indonesian? And everything that smells Indonesian is considered terrible? Duh.

We know that. This is an older post from the time when Amazon.de as well as every other e-tailer had different specs. Since then lots has changed...please look at the UNTERGANG thread.
