'Frightners' 4-disc or 3-disc version

help me out here, which edition should I buy: ?

Does the German (4-disc) edition have DTS? The supplements are in English right - ?

Is there any incentive to buy the 3-disc version.

Mine has not been shipped from them yet, i have just ordered another copy from Xmas for my Brother. I have seen some closeup packshots in the forums on DVDTherapy. Very cool looking.

I've been having the same problem. I can never get into my account, and even looking up by the order # doesn't work. I just sent an email to their customer service asking for an estimated shipdate.

I had to do the same thing for my last order (Batman Begins R3), and it shipped out the next day. So maybe this will light a fire under their asses and get this thing shipped out.

Just checked and my order has just been upgraded to pending dispatch, but that is for one copy of it, not both! Just looks like my brother might have to wait for his Xmas present abit longer.

Yes, and I emailed them. I got a prompt reply about my 4-disc Frighteners order but no answer on the order history.

Here's what they said about The Frighteners:

Sorry for the delay in dispatching Region 2 - The Frighteners (Deutsche Version) (4DVD). Unfortunately, we have experienced a slight delay in receiving this product from our suppliers and we are currently awaiting confirmation of when the goods will be available for dispatch.
This morning I tried a different CD Wow site and the history is there. So it shows up on some of the sites and doesn't on others.

I just tried on the main cd-wow.com, and not the one I use with the coupon code, and the order came up just fine under a search. I'll take note of this for future orders. Thanks!

In general, maybe CD-WOW's supply line for German releases takes a little longer as compared to others. I could be mistaken, but I seem to recall that the German release of "Der Untergang" experienced a slight delay in being shipped. I know everyone wants to receive their stuff ASAP, but, all in all, I doubt the delay is anything to be concerned about.

This is the first time I've ordered a German R2 through cd-wow. I've ordered numerous R2 UK's and R3 HK's through them before, and they seemed to ship a day after order, or a day after release, for the most part. I don't have a problem with a slight delay in shipping, as I have enough of a backlog already. I was just wondering if it was just me, since I hadn't been able to look up the order status on the page. After reading movielib's post, this shouldn't be a problem in the future though.

Interesting. CDWow gave me a different excuse for not yet shipping the Frighteners.

Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience – it appears that when you placed your order, even though WorldPay (the payment provider) debited your account, they had informed us otherwise, hence we were not able to send anything as according to our records, no money had been taken.

I have today contacted WorldPay with the reference number you have quoted and can confirm that indeed the money was debited and therefore I have been able to manually authorize your order which should be dispatched a.s.a.p.

If there is anything else we can do for you please don’t hesitate to get back to us.

flashburn, when you first placed your order did you receive two e-mails or just one? What you wrote about happened to me once, when I placed an order I received only the payment e-mail and not the CD-WOW e-mail. I contacted them right away and the explanation they sent you is basically the same one they sent me at that time.

I only received one email. But, I have only received one email many times in the past, and I had no problems with those orders.

My order for the German release, placed on 11/28 has always read "pre-release." I had a feeling there was going to be a delay. Hopefully enough stock will be supplied.

I had the same problem that flashburn had, I hope our DVDs will ship soon too.

Regards,
Dirk

I waited long before I ordered it. I wanted to make sure that the theatrical version isn't censored because the old German release was and so I waited for a friend in Germany to buy it and make sure first, which he did, and so I ordered it only around release date. I bet they the didn't expect the high demand at CD-WOW and I won't get one until they get another shipment in.

I just received an email from CD-WOW:

item.

from our suppliers and we are currently awaiting confirmation of when the
goods will be available for dispatch.

The standard mail the always send!
Doesn't look like I will get it before Christmas.

Regards,
Dirk
