Ordering from Amazon.ca

Hi Everyone!

Im interested in ordering about $200 worth of DVDs from amazon.ca. When shipping to a US address has anyone paid custom charges when ordering from this site?? If so how much? Thanks in advance

I've placed two relatively small orders ($35-$45 range) and haven't had any issues regarding customs charges. Not sure about a bigger monetary amount though.

Unfortunately I've often found Amazon.ca to be a bit of a mess. I've bought from them a few times and shipping to Europe has taken a long time (and always in an oversize box that won't come through the letterbox, even for 1 DVD). They've always overcharged me on shipping, too (although a quick email is enough to rectify that). I'm sure many people have got on fine with it, but I've always found it to be not nearly as efficient as other Amazon sites I use. Recently I was going to buy a DVD from the site and found it on there, but it had been classed as a paperback for some unknown reason so the shipping was much higher...

Dazza.

I've never paid customs charges ordering from amazon.ca, but I don't think I've placed an order over $100. They WAY overcharge for shipping though.

Amazon.ca and Amazon.com needs to revamp their shipping charges. It's out of wack.

Amazon.ca to USA - $7.99
Amazon.com to Canada - $4.99
Amazon.com market seller to Canada - $12.29

Getting back to the question at hand, I am under the impression that US residents are allowed to import a max of $200, tax free. I read this on few evilbay forums.

Thanks everyone for all of your help. I guess I'll just have to place my order and pray that customs doesn't charge me anything.
