Hi everyone -

I'm in search of a Chinese movie called "To Live", starring Gong Li. This may also be known as "Lifetimes" or other titles. I love this movie and would love to get it on DVD. Unfortunately, I've only seen in on VHS and now I hear it's basically OOP.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Bernie

Buddy, you are lucky, you get me. my original HK and China Movie are region free and with acceptable quality. they most cost around 10-25 USD in HK online store, but (hehe) it is hard for you to find a movie in chinese character web site. I've ordered a lot from there, I don't remember if I have seen this one. but I will take care it for you, do you wanna any other GongLi's movie? I'm not a GongLi's fan, I like JetLi very much, and I have his debut movie's DVD.

I take it these are LD transfers to "DVD"? I'm not sure about the quality of those transfers.

Anyways, Raxel, please drop me an e-mail about this.

If anyone else has any leads on this film, please post a reply.

I got my copy from Blue Laser. Payed approx $40 for it, ouch!

Haven't seen anyone carrying this title in quite some time, according to Sazuma (where I ordered it the first time) it's OOP. But, what the heck do they know!

I suggest you wait for a R1 release of this DVD. The HK version is ok, but not great.
