Mountain Biker 05-09-02 06:18 PM

I'd like to place my vote for Murder on the Orient Express.

On that list, IF and WINGS (the silent film, right?) are the ones I'm most excited about by far.

more thanks, Martin, for seeking input here.

i feel eaxtly the same as a previous poster.
i've seen FOUL PLAY more times than i can remember, A Chase & Hawn commentary would make it an immediate purchase.
They had wonderful chemistry together and it would be great to see them participate.

also being a huge Caroline Munro fan, i would love to be able to own CAPTIAN KRONOS: VAMPIRE HUNTER . i'm pretty sure Ms Munro is retired and just works the convention circuit.
i'm sure see could be persuaded to indulge on some extras for this title, with the added incentive, that she can use her convention appearences to help stoke interest for it.

would also love to see a Clara Bow title get some indepth analysis, and Wings happens to be a great movie, besides.

in any event, those are all great titles, i can't wait to buy them, ( didn't see Let's Scare Jessica To Death , though...;) ) Whats really important is the best possible transfer.
you guys have a pretty solid track record in that regard, so whatever else you can manage will be more than appreciated

PeteH 05-09-02 08:04 PM

My vote goes to <b>Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter</b> and the rest of the Hammer films.

Mammal 05-09-02 08:40 PM

Wings.

Four Flies on Grey Velvet could be coming, or could be coming with extra features?

I am excited to hear it and talk of a dvd release....
GREAT NEWS! ......one step closer to a complete Argento collection.

A nice list, but I have to give a strong vote for my childhood fave BUGSY MALONE!

Please, please, please, oh baby, please...!

Skorp 05-09-02 08:55 PM

I vote for:

Captain Kronos and other Hammers (Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell maybe?)
If...
Murder on the Orient Express

And please keep releasing DVDs in OAR. Thanks! :)

Sparrow 05-09-02 09:10 PM

Another vote for a nice transfer of Foul Play.

Duckie 05-09-02 09:13 PM

No votes for Day of the Locust?
I'm not sure what extras to suggest, though it's of interest for little things like script, set design and cinematography. One of the best examples of those daringly pessimistic 70's films that they just don't make anymore, gosh darn it. At least as cult-worthy as If...

Shiv Shankly 05-09-02 09:28 PM

PLEASE produce some special extras for if... A fantastic film sorely deserving of a quality release.

Walter K 05-09-02 10:07 PM

First off, Mr. Blythe your participation is most appreciated. Thank you. Some nice titles in the list that I look forward to adding to my collection.

In terms of extras, my favorites tend to be commentary tracks, deleted scenes / alternate takes, and items associated with the production including scripts, storyboards, marketing campaign materials, etc.

The films that I would pick for SE treatment / supplements are:

Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter
Day of the Locust
if...

~ Walter.

I'm guessing we are talkling about If... (1968) and Wings (1927). If so, put me down once for each. I'd definately buy them in a 'movie-only' release, but extras would be tasty gravy.

JeTmAn 05-09-02 10:39 PM

Wings and Murder On The Orient Express.

Doc Moonlight 05-09-02 10:46 PM

My Picks

Day of the Locust (with Schlesinger commentary)
If (with commentary by Malcolm McDowell, might be interesting to see a mature McDowell comment on the theme of revolutionary youth depicted in the film)
Captain Kronos (with alternate "continental" cut if available)
Darling Lili (with Director's Cut, alternate release cut and commentary by Blake Edwards)

DVD Smurf 05-09-02 11:03 PM

Murder on the Orient Express should get extra treatment. I recommend a Criterion treatment.
Bugsy Malone-yes
Wings-I am waiting for this.
If- :)
Looking for Mr. Goodbar-this is a must!

Also where is Major League?Grease? Urban Cowboy?

How about starting to put "JAG" on DVD if possible season sets? Your studio makes this awesome TV show!

People, check out the IMDb page for the film. This is one of the most gripping thrillers ever, an absolute masterpiece.

BTW, I really appreciate you being so open about Paramount's plans, Mr. Blythe. Thank you.

YES! YES! YES!

Day of the Locust too!

Murder on the Orient Express

If this had some good special features I would buy it. But I would buy it if it didn't have any. :)

Thanks,
