Your favorite movie decades

What other polls of favorite decades lacked was not having more than one option, while someone's 2nd favorite decade is still pretty significant and 3rd as well so here's a more all-around poll.
If you can just pick your top 3 or 4 favorites, just pick the ones that stand out for you (without resorting to picking all of them)
My favorites are 50s,40s,30s.

The 40's, 50's, 80's, and 90's. Not necessarily in that order...

I didnt really get into movies till I was about 13 or so. So Ive really only experienced the 90's to the present, but I certainly appreciate the 80's classics too.

The 70s are my favorite. Sometimes I wish I could've grown up in the 70s just so I could experience them as they came out. But I was born in 1979.

The 90s and 2000s are 2nd and 3rd for me.

I understand many people's love for the 70s for its intelligence and grittiness, it's a great decade, not my cup of tea though. I get that from the 50s and 40s. The second modern decade, 80s is my favorite of the bunch; i look at IMDB's top for the 80s and i simply like its movies more than the 70s' top.

1970's all the way. The 70's revolutionized everything and has made movies(good ones) the way they are today.

Definitely the 70s but I will vote 90s because the decade offered a promising future (cough) to the next and gave a bright new look to films, in my opinion.

To name a few:
The Shawshank Redemption
Braveheart
Fight Club
Silence Of The Lambs
Pulp Fiction

I voted for 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, and 80s...

I would have gone with the 10s and 20s, as well, but I don't have that many silent films in my collection (yet.)

The 30s, 40s and 50s had the classic comedians, the best Disney films, and 90% of the musicals, not to mention many great dramatic films (Citizen Kane, It's a Wonderful Life, etc.)

The sixties had Bond, To Kill a Mockingbird, more Disney films (live action and animated,) more musicals, and hundreds of other great films.

The 70s also had some good films, lots of horror, some great comedies, modern Sci-Fi (Star Wars, Star Trek, etc.)

The 80s really saw the birth of the horror franchise, and the refinement of the teen movie (comedies, horror, etc.)

The 90s and 00s have had some huge blockbusters, and have shown that comic book films can be amazing (or not, if it is Catwoman...) The 90s saw CG films for the first time, and the rebirth of the Disney Animated film. My collection has more 90s-00s films than any other decade, but they aren't really my favorite decades... Most of the titles are anime shows, or movies that are fresh in my mind and quickly available on DVD.

DVD Profiler tells me it's the 00's followed by the 90's.
