Meh'. Supposively the Eddie Furlong Crow was going to go back to it's 'roots'. But it was just an average, watchable direct-to-video quality flick. Nothing special.
They might be able to do something good with this. But I won't be too excited till I get a killer trailer or something.

Brandon Lee legacy is that this movie is a bench-mark for him and genre.
So what does hollywood want to do spit on his Legacy and that sad.
Let me say to all of us Lee fans (Bruce Lee-Brandon Lee) those two were cut from the same cloth and never can be replaced in this lifetime or the next.

^ From that article:
Thank God, I'm in for this one since it leave's the Eric Draven character alone. I loved Norrington's Blade so I'm excited to see what he does with this.
Norrington's "Crow" is reportedly a new take on the material and does not use the Eric Draven character.

So it's basically a sequel in name only sort of deal rather than a reboot. Like all the other Crow sequels (except for City Of Angels).

I dunno if he was more in the later comics but Skull Cowboy was only in like two panels of the original book. He wasn't even an actual character. He simply represented Eric's anger and grief.
The screenwriters of the first movie were the ones who made him into an actual character.

As long as it's better than anything they did after the original, I don't mind. It sounds like this is another "The Final Destination" in that, it's a sequel (technically) that can also serve as a refresher for the series.

Surprised to see the love for the first movie. It was mediocre at best, even considering the presence of Black Ghostbuster.

Not a huge loss from a storytelling perspective.

ive been dreading this for years, and cringed when i heard about this remake several years ago. Atleast they are staying away from the eric draven character. it sounds more like just another movie utilizing the name of the crow instead of a reboot, imo.

"The Crow" was a big-budget remake of the 1986 Charlie Sheen vehicle "The Wraith", when you get right down to it. And "The Wraith" was better.

The original is one of the most cliched, overpraised movies of its time. If it wasn't for Brandon Lee's death, it would be a 3am USA Channel movie, at BEST.

It was one of my favorite films when I was a teenager, but it hasn't aged well at all. The art design on it's still pretty cool, but I find myself cringing whenever someone opens their mouth. The dialog is just so... arch and self-righteous and pompous and stilted... It's like George Lucas and Stephenie Meyer ghost wrote it.

Some nice imagery by some I mean very few...but c'mon. It was mediocre to me too. As a kid I was like...cool makeup but...i'm not interested at all.

I'm getting tired of studios calling remakes "reboots" or "reinventions" just to make it sound nicer.
