Source Code - New Duncan Jones film

After seeing Moon, I'm definitely excited to see how Jones follows it up with this film. Gyllenhaal is kind of hit-and-miss for me, but hopefully his involvement helps the film gain some traction for Jones.
Jake Gyllenhaal is in negotiations to star in sci-fi thriller Source Code for Vendome Pictures and The Mark Gordon Co., reports Variety.
Duncan Jones (Moon) will direct and Mark Gordon will produce with Vendome's CEO Philippe Rousselet and Jordan Wynn. The Summit Entertainment release is scheduled to begin filming during the first quarter of 2010. Jones has stated that his planned follow up to Moon, the futuristic Berlin-based sci-fi film has been put on hold for him to develop this project as his next film.
Source Code centers on a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown commuter and is forced to live and relive a harrowing train bombing until he can determine who is responsible for it.

Re: Source Code - New Duncan Jones film
Clint Mansell, who did great work on Moon, comments on why he may not be studio-viable to compose the score for Source Code;
From /film
Mansell does great work, and Moon was no exception, so naturally I would love to see the two of them collaborate once more.
The interview, which can be found in full at Little White Lies, also has Mansell discussing his inspiration moving into the score for Aronofsky's Black Swan.
From /film
Well I think Duncan is a terrific guy, he’s really talented and I’d love to do more films with him. I suppose the problem could be that you don’t know what the studio is gonna want and they might look at the the rest of his team, me included, and we might be seen as not having the experience that the studio is looking for. So it might be a case where Duncan has to do what it is he has to do so he can progress.

Mansell is underrating himself. Lux Aeterna should have solidified his carreer as a movie composer, period.
Glad Jones is getting job offers, Moon was fantastic.

Vera Farmiga and Michelle Monaghan are in talks to join the cast, according to comingsoon.net
Farmiga will play a hands-on communications officer controlling Gyllenhaal as he travels through time and space. Monaghan is a woman on the train with whom the man is involved romantically.

Looks quite good!
My wife insists that Jake Gyllenhaal is on the cover of this week's "Entertainment Weekly" but I've been looking at it for over 15 minutes and I don't see him there at all.

I admit, the way it plays out, at least in that trailer, is a bit standard, but I love the idea that he has to keep covering this eight-minute stretch looking for new details.
