What is this board's opinion of Jennifer Aniston?
A recent Yahoo or AOL article (can't remember which), naming the best and worst of 2010 so far named her the worst actress of the year. Even saying they wished she would just go away. I kind of feel the same. Just one bland and crappy rom-com after another. Even her serious roles and movies kind of suck. And let's face it, she's not a very good actress anyway (comedy or drama). I personally don't know why she keeps getting work.

I truly never understood her appeal. She's always on some magazine cover, and for what?! I can't imagine a more uninteresting person to profile constantly. And, frankly, she isn't all that attractive either.
She was an "ok" actress, but the media has gone overboard with her. That's my opinion.

How long have you been here? These threads are pointless.
People like her. Period.
Take the Bounty Hunter for example. It's a universally panned flick and yet somehow managed to eke out $140 million bucks worldwide on a $40 million dollar budget. That's no smash, but one helluva return on investment considering the pounding it took in reviews and word of mouth.
"One bland and crappy rom-com after another?" The two biggest hits of her post Friends career, Marley & Me and The Break Up say hello. Far from your typical rom-com nonsense.
As for wishing someone away, are you 12? Skip her flicks and go about your life. No one is forcing you to watch them.

Edit: Also, you can't give her any credit for the major success of "Marley & Me" or "The Break Up". The first was based on a best seller. Any actress they put in that role would have pulled in the same money if not more. And the latter's success is thanks to Vince Vaughn.
Mod Note: Really? No. Don't do it again.

Her star vehicles are pure crap. She's a below average actress with no range. She's attractive but not beautiful. I don't understand the lure of her or her films.
Oh and she's really really rich.

Hmmm...
Friends, Office Space, The Iron Giant, Bruce Almighty, Along Came Polly, and extreme sensitivity to cold.
I can forgive a few bad movie choices for these achievements.

I don't like her.
She's not quite Cameron Diaz irritating but since The Good Girl she has played it safe and done one crap movie after the other.
I doubt she has any interest in any challenging roles and because of that I do not like her.

She's terrible in one-note in everything she does. Attractive woman? Sure. But I can't stand her movies.
Did someone actually claim "Bruce Almighty" was an achievement?
"Marley and Me"? REALLY? Big hit but let's be honest, dead dog movies are like shooting fish in a barrel for audience sympathies. Awful movie for Oprah watching simpletons.

I've only seen her in Friends and Office Space. She seems to do light comedy pretty well. Her movies don't appeal to me, but I've got no problem with her.

She seemed to gain in popularity once Brad Pitt dumped her. It was like everyone felt sorry for her and admired how "strong" of a person she was for continuing her life after him.
I dunno.
I don't dislike her but I'm not a big fan either.

I really don't have much of an opinion of her because I haven't seen enough of her (in movies, that is). Like Drew Barrymore, she keeps doing movies that I have no desire to see. I think the only things I've seen that she's done are The Iron Giant and Office Space, and she was hardly the star in either of those. I never cared for Friends, but I've only tried to watch a few episodes.

I think she's hot as fuck, but don't give a crap about her career. She stars in some truly horrible shit.
