I don't think Drive needs a sequel. I also don't think I need to see The Driver pop up anywhere else, but I trust Refn to know what he's doing, so I guess we'll see.

I don't know how it'll play out but if it were up to me they'd make a prequel. There are so many cool adventures the Driver could have.

I'm interested in reading the sequel to the book. I didn't read 'Drive', I only watched the movie. To anyone that read 'Drive' and 'Driven'... do I need to read the first book to get a good handle on the second book or will I be pretty caught up just by watching the movie?

I want to see Drive but after seeing Carey Mulligan's performance in Shame I don't want to see another movie with her in it. The "Drive" soundtrack sounds great though.

Maybe it wasn't the performance, more the script she was working with. But her character in that movie seemed like a bad cliche and was annoying.

I can't believe how long and horrible it was too listen to her sing New York, New York.

Then again I didn't like her in the Wall Street sequel either.

I understand that Ryan Gosling is going to do some crazy shit for her in this film. i would think if he was going to risk his life for a woman it would be the one from Mad Men.

Carey Mulligan is much hotter than Christina Hendricks. Regardless, while Mulligan has a good amount of screen time she barely has any dialog in Drive. In fact barely anyone has much dialog in the movie, they all talk like they're working through stage 1 of hooked on phonics.

Great movie though.

I thought she was great in both films. I loved her singing New York, New York. Not so much the way she sings it, but the mood it sets & the impact it had on her brothers character. Shit it almost made me cry because you can sense the loneliness & pain between the 2 characters.
