Since there is a law that says the legacy characters have to have lived horrible lives since the last film they could just say that the father is in prison for possession of child porn.

I think casting this painfully obvious - like Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier or Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Strange or Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister - shouldn’t really be considered ‘perfect casting’.
In my book, ‘great casting’ has to reflect some originality and inspiration.

That said, I’m delighted she’s in this.

Best I can do on a screenshot for the funeral. Looks like Jeffery Jones to me.

Looking pretty good. Hoping it actually turns out good and the trailer isn’t just the best footage.

Maybe it’s just me but I thought the teaser came off as something fan made. But I’m still stoked for the movie.

Not a fan of the "haunting rendition of a popular song", but actually looks a lot better than the stills they released

"Day O" was a staple of the first movie...big difference from just using a haunting rendition for a movie trailer.

I agree. Like one of those recuts where they turn a comedy into a horror flick. I don't have high hopes at all for this.

Yes, the best footage in the whole movie is Ortega riding a bike, standing at a funeral, and the juice rising.

...yeah I know it was... And they still went with a "kids singing a creepy version" for the trailer. Disney did the same thing with the Rise of Skywalker and Dial of Destiny trailers. Doesn't matter if it's connected to the original or not, it's still overused.

Great news: The movie will use stop-motion animation

I mean fair, but I’m just saying the trailer looks decent but we all know they can be pretty easily misleading in terms of the actual product. I’m much more hesitant to get on board with legacy sequels after being burned more than once.
