I find it weirdly believable. For some reason half the people I know that hit 50 reverted back to acting like teenagers these last few years

And to be fair, a lot of people dress kind of goth or emo when they're, you know, attending a funeral.

It is extremely believable. Has nobody been to a concert and seen people in outfits that look ridiculous on them for their age? These types of people wear that stuff in their every day life too.

Except in the last movie, the dead characters become ghosts and remain central to the plot. Getting rid of an actor by killing them won’t exactly fly in Beetlejuice’s world.

Unless he gets banished to the wasteland with the sandworm. Sure, Beetlejuice survived (as much as any dead person can "survive") somehow. But the first movie implied it was pretty final.
