His backstory is he was already running away from the Bespin Guard with a stolen ice cream maker when all hell broke loose, providing him the perfect cover to escape!

Now this is a standalone film that I want Disney to make. Shoot all new footage but incorporate it in The Empire Strikes Back.

Of course they were going to have the X-wing in a new color. More toys to sell.

What was the name of those fighters we saw in the opening space battle in ROTS? Those looked ugly.

In the EU, the Jedi had black x-wings.

My sources tell me Grando Calrissian may make a cameo since his role was removed from Episode 3.

Well, who says it's Luke's hand? Maybe it's a fake out. I would actually think it better if they didn't have the hand and just had a light saber floating through space.

I'm hopeful as well... though plenty of ships and creatures were practical in the prequels. I'm sure glimpsing the Mos Espa set for Episode I would have inspired just as much wonder in SW fans. It wasn't until RotS that Lucas chose to go into full-out videogame territory with the ships/backdrops (though AotC was already 75% there).

My big wish is to see a full-on space battle rendered with old-school practical models, but I'm not holding my breath on that one. Though it will probably look great, I'm sure most shots of the Falcon in flight will be CG in this movie.

So if that is true, we could infer from it that the Empire is still around and hasn't completely fallen.
A similar rumor was floating around about Gwendoline Christie's character (though she'd be the tallest stormtrooper in history).

I guess that means the clones are not around at this point... I wonder if they will even get a mention. I really don't care, as Lucas' decision to visually tie the clones with stormtooper armor annoyed me right off the bat. I assume the fact that Temuera Morrison didn't dub the stormtrooper voices for the DVD version implies the clones had died out and there were only enlisted men by that point.

I'm not sure why the Empire would use enlisted or conscripted men for stormtroopers when they can just factory grow their own super soldiers. They are seemingly cheap to mass produce, easy to train, unquestioningly loyal, and disposable. Essentially, the perfect army.

It wouldn't surprise me if, after the clone war, they started using different clone models, maybe for different functions (foot soldiers, navy, pilots, special operations, etc). They could have dozens of different clones in addition to the old Jango Fett model.

The nature of the stormtroopers might be something they explore in the Rebels series.

The clones used as stormtroopers were made from a host with bad eye site since they can't hit shit.

I think even Uwe Boll would have said no way to Jar Jar Binks.

What happened to his whole arm, did he just leave it there after Dooku cut it off? Maybe Ponda Boba took it after his arm was cut off and is now seeking revenge on Luke.

The twist at the end of the movie is that it never was a lightsaber in the first place, but a fleshlight.

I think the hand thing is marketing genius! I can see Dr. Suess's marketing pitch now ...

Just think of entire shelves at Toys R Us filled with rubber hands! Oh so grand!
Candy lightsaber pops with little hands to attach! We'll sell them by the batch!
Don't forget the clothing line as well! Kids gloves ... oh the gloves we will sell!
Dioramas in little bottles with a hand in the sand!
Oh the hands we'll sell ... and how our wallets will swell!

On another note ... how long before the Hand Solo action figure comes out?
