Parts I and II date all the way back to 2003, so I thought I would start a third one.
I'll get us started:
Jaws should be in the top 5 of AFI's Top 100, if not #1.
A Few Good Men would have been better without Jack Nicholson.
Brian Cox was a much better Hannibal Lector (or "Lecktor" in this case) than Anthony Hopkins.
The Academy got it right when they picked The English Patient over Fargo. Not even close.

The more "serious" and "dark" the Batman movies get, the worse they become. It's a story about a guy who dresses up like a bat so he can beat up criminals. Placing it in a realistic setting only highlights how silly the entire premise is. Though it's not a good movie, the tone of the Tim Burton Batman movie is about where the dial should be set to.

A Curious Case of Benjamin Button is one of Fincher's best films.

Serenity was a cheesy, derivative made-for-tv quality bore.
the first two Star Wars and Lord of the Rings Trilogy were both good but nothing special.
Life of Pi was better than Argo
The Boondock Saints sucks

The Nolan Dark Knight trilogy isn't the greatest piece of art created since man first began to draw on the walls of their caves. Also Heath Ledger's Joker isn't even better than Jack Nicholson, Ceaser Romero or Mark Hamill.

Oddly enough, I just finally saw this (see: was forced to watch it) this past weekend. Up until then, I have lived in an almost Whedon-free universe and had no opinion about his supposed brilliance one way or the other.
I thought the movie was somewhat flawed but fun. Overall, I enjoyed it.
It has it's moments, but yeah, I don't think "sucks" is too far off. It is definitely in my personal top five of most inexplicable DVD purchases ever.

I agree on Jaws though. Easily Spielbergs best picture and best horror movie of all time in my opinion.
Some of mine:
Tim Burton has made only 1 good movie: Ed Wood
Christoper Nolan's Batman trilogy are some of the most overrated movies of all time. Inception is horrible drivel.
Empire Strikes Back is really the only excellent Star Wars Movie. Star Wars itself is a good movie but vastly overrated.
Mr Blandings Builds His Dream House is the best comedy of all time.
Lady and the Tramp is by far Disney's best animated movie.

I'm not a fan of Fargo either, I do however think William H. Macy was brilliant in it. He deserved the Oscar.

Pulp Fiction should of won over Forrest Gump. IMHO, it was just the better movie and holds up to this day. Even Shawshank was better than FG in '95.

STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE (1979) was the best of the Star Trek movies. STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN was one of the worst.
LICENCE TO KILL was the best of all the post-Connery Bond films.
DIE ANOTHER DAY was the best of the Brosnan Bonds.

John Carter was not that bad. It was crippled by a bad title, bad marketing and bad trailers.

Agreed. I suppose I went in with low expectations but I enjoyed it.
