So, not knowing the history, I have a question after watching this movie. You saw Suge take out everyone who stood in his way (and I do know his history of violence and the rumors of who he took out). I find it VERY surprising he didn't take out Dre. Even though he said he had everything Dre owned or something to that degree, as he was rising up, why didn't he try to end him?

And Easy E, is the biggest signs of HIV just a horrible cough? I have a cough that just never wants to go away, so that scene did make me cringe (and I sort of thought he had something like that).

2004 When Dr. Dre was about to receive an award at the Vibe Awards show Suge Knight paid some guy to run up and sock Dre in the face.

That's crazy but former Ruthless artists say Jerry Heller got fired. BG Knocc-out and Big Hutch are on video saying that if I remember correctly. Probably more artists.

But how is Eazy-E being strong armed by Suge exclusive to Heller's book? That was common knowledge for the longest time. It was in the news that Eazy was trying to get Deathrow caught up in a RICO conspiracy and that's where it came out that Eazy admitted he signed over Dre and them under duress. Even in the Eazy-E album/DVD released by Ruthless had a comic book showing Eazy being strong armed by Suge and that predated Jerry Heller's book.

Hip hop and rap feuds remind me of bitchy girls in grade school starting rumors about each other. I do like those early rap records like NWA, Ice Cube and Too $hort but listening to adults call each other out in song is just sad.

Yeah, 5 months from theatrical release to BD/DVD release is long by today's standards, it'll be on VOD in time for Xmas most likely, maybe they'll have some pre-purchase get the digital copy early type thing going.

I liked the movie, but it does need an extended cut, it felt like a cliff note's version of the events.

Extras haven't been announced yet, but F. Gary Gray already confirmed back in August he was editing the 3 hour + director's cut.

I think Saving Private Ryan held the record for longest available-on-video delay. I remember my dad wasn't one to buy movies at all, but he told me that he HAD to have that movie as soon as he walked out of the theater. Of course, the only movie he ever wanted caused for the longest wait.
