Exactly. Trailer looks fucking great.
As someone who followed NWA very closely back then, this is real treat for me. It looks like they got it right.
I like Paul Giamatti playing Jerry Heller, too. He seems to be perfectly cast, and it's nice to get a great actor to be in a film like this.
Pretty cool seeing Ice Cube's own son playing him. I like that scene on the bus.
As someone who followed NWA very closely back then, this is real treat for me. It looks like they got it right.

N.W.A/EAZY-E was what my brother and I grew up listening to... the trailer was awesome.@ 3:21 looks like it has SUGE/DEATH ROW scene.

By the time the riots broke out N.W.A. as we know it was no longer. Ice Cube was on his own by 1990 and the riots were in 1992. Now, if they are going to expand into the 100 Miles and Running days and beyond then it would make sense. Besides, I don't know how much involvement if any that particular incarnation of N.W.A. had on the riots if any at all.

I read today that the Suge situation recently stemmed from how he was being portrayed int the film. In the trailer near the end it looks like he is in the recording booth dressed in all red. It will be interesting to see if Cube leaving as well as Dre leaving for Death Row will be covered. I go agree jr looks awesome as Cube.

Wow. That looked 10x better than I imagined it would.
Good news is I'll be on vacation when this is released.
Bad news is, I'll be somewhere in England.
Good news is I doubt there will be any shootings/violence at the theaters in teh Englands.

Dr. Dre never asked Suge Knight for permission to include his likeness in the movie "Straight Outta Compton" ... and that sparked the fight which ended with the alleged murder in a parking lot.
Sources connected to Suge tell TMZ ... he got word he was included in the film, and wanted to talk to Dre about how he was being portrayed. As we've reported ... Suge's friend Terry Carter helped set up the meeting.
As for what Suge was so worried about -- a new trailer for the movie was just released, and there is a character whupping someone's ass in a studio ... who looks just like Suge.
TMZ broke the story ... Suge and Dre's sit-down never happened because Suge got into a fight with actor Cle "Bone" Sloan ... and eventually backed up over him and Carter.
Suge has been charged with Carter's murder, the attempted murder of Sloan, and hit and run.

I thought Compton had 3 or 4 classic songs, but I liked the whole second album better even though it didn't truly have any classics on it. 100 Miles N Runnin' EP with the Sa Prize Fuck the Police remix was flat incredible too.

No, he will just catch a case. He basically strong-armed Eazy-E to get Dre out of his contract with Ruthless so that Suge could basically become the Jerry Heller of Death Row records and leech off of Dre, Snoop, Dogg Pound, Tupac, etc.
