17. Imagine that you’re a student at Hogwarts. Which professor do you think would be your favorite?

While technically a professor, this one doesn't teach a class, which probably explains this result:
Spoiler:

majorjoe 23 Dumbledore 0

This answer, while correct, made me say, "Really?"
Spoiler:

orangecrush Flitwick 0

As did this one:
Spoiler:

Super X Slughorn 0

And apparently two of you are wannabe Slytherins.
Spoiler:

Shannon Nutt Snape -2
wishbone Snape -2

Two others of you like:
Spoiler:

DaveNinja Moody -2
Abob Teff Moody -2

Another pair in agreement, with a wasted slam:
Spoiler:

decker Hagrid {sd} -4
bunkaroo Hagrid -2

It really came down to two professors:
Spoiler:

Count Dooku Lupin -4
Cellar Door Lupin -4
TheAllPurposeNothing Lupin -4
mwbmis Lupin -4

But the real winner was:
Spoiler:

cnicholls44 McGonagall {sd} -12
Tommyp007 McGonagall -6
Kal-El McGonagall -6
davidh777 McGonagall -6
Obi-Wan Jebroni McGonagall -6
ivelostr2 McGonagall -6

McGonagall is an insane answer. She's super strict. Flitwick is that cool teacher who let's you watch Romeo and Juliet over the course of a week (the one with the nudity).

My thought is that McGonagall would only be your favorite if you are a Gryffindor, as she wears her favoritism on her sleeve. If you were sorted into another house, I think you'd come to despise her after a while.

Exactamundo. I knew players would immediately think "animal," but was hopeful that some would be clever and think of plants as well.

I was shocked McGonagall was the top pick. It thought Hagrid would come out on top, followed by Lupin. I think the problem with Hagrid might've been that some people don't think of him as a professor first. McGonagall strikes me as the kind of professor you always want approval from, but never really get.

Re: The Sheep Who Lived: HARRY POTTER SHEEP

I went with McGonagall because she was there throughout the series while so many of the profs came in and out. That's why I decided against Lupin.

Re: The Sheep Who Lived: HARRY POTTER SHEEP

19. Voldemort was the Big Bad, but he was hardly the only villain in the series. Name a villain other than Voldemort.

A good variety of answers this round, with no one scoring 0 points.

The worst answer is probably because the word "villain" is debatable:
Spoiler:

Kal-El Snape -2
Abob Teff Snape -2

This one would've probably been my pick. *Shudder*
Spoiler:

TheAllPurposeNothing Dolores Umbridge -3
majorjoe 23 Dolores Umbridge -3
ivelostr2 Dolores Umbridge -3

Next, a pair of family members who tied with each other:
Spoiler:

cnicholls44 Lucius Malfoy -4
wishbone Lucius Malfoy -4
Super X Lucius Malfoy -4
mwbmis Lucius Malfoy -4

Like father, like son:
Spoiler:

Shannon Nutt Draco Malfoy -4
Cellar Door Draco Malfoy -4
orangecrush Draco Malfoy -4
Obi-Wan Jebroni Draco Malfoy -4

Which brings us to our sheepiest, though hardly a runaway, answer:
Spoiler:

davidh777 Bellatrix Lestrange {sd} -12
Tommyp007 Bellatrix Lestrange {sd} -12
bunkaroo Bellatrix Lestrange -6
Count Dooku Bellatrix Lestrange -6
DaveNinja Bellatrix Lestrange -6

Re: The Sheep Who Lived: HARRY POTTER SHEEP

I tend to think of McGonagall as more tough but fair. If I were to attend her magical school then I would probably have great respect for her as a teacher, but I doubt she would be my favorite.

Hagrid is a great guy but a poor teacher. I'm surprised anyone would want to have an asshole like Snape as a teacher. I guess he played favorites so if you were a little shit too you could be one of his favorites.

My choice came down to Lupin and the death eater posing as Mad Eye Moody. Lupin's gentle encouraging demeanor carried the day for me.

Damn, another mediocre slam. Why didn't I slam Ginny again?

I think my problem was slamming answers I felt strongly about, rather than answers that had few other options.

I thought of Mandrakes but I could not remember the name -- same for Thestrals. I figured Dementors would have had some matches.

Re: The Sheep Who Lived: HARRY POTTER SHEEP

I thought everyone would want to be in Hagrid's class considering what an asshole Snape is and how schoolmarm-y McGonagall was. Best teacher? That would be Snape or McGonagall, but most fun? Gotta be Hagrid.
Sucks that I wasted a slam on that. I was suddenly (surprisingly) in contention before that.

Re: The Sheep Who Lived: HARRY POTTER SHEEP

20. REVERSE: Name an actor or actress who appeared in all 8 movies of the series.

Let's have a little fun with the final question, shall we? There were 14 possible correct answers to this question. Below are the more obscure ones that nobody mentioned.

One of them, admittedly not very obvious, was:
Spoiler:

Geraldine Somerville (Lily Potter).

The next omission was also a tricky one, because it's an actor who appeared in all 8 films, but as two different characters:
Spoiler:

Warwick Davis (Griphook and Flitwick)

These two always go together, so it's appropriate that they both got 0 votes:
Spoiler:

James & Oliver Phelps (Fred & George Weasley)

Re: The Sheep Who Lived: HARRY POTTER SHEEP

For some reason, I have trouble seeing Draco as a villain. He strikes me more like a nemesis, and like Harry, sometimes a reluctant participant in the events going on around him.

Not saying he's without some major faults or someone I'd want to buddy with, but "villain"? Nah.

Now it's time for players to kick themselves.

Shockingly, no one picked:
Spoiler:

Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy)

Or - !!!
Spoiler:

Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley)

I wouldn't have remembered Malfoy's name anyway. Probably would have taken me a while to think of Grint's name.

Re: The Sheep Who Lived: HARRY POTTER SHEEP

Next, I need to slap the wrists of two players who submitted incorrect answers.

Spoiler:

Sorry, Count Dooku. Enoch did not appear in Deathly Hallows Part 1.

Count Dooku Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas) +10

But at least you're not alone.

Spoiler:

Maggie Smith was also missing from one installment - again Deathly Hallows Part 1.

wishbone Maggie Smith (McGonagall) +10

Re: The Sheep Who Lived: HARRY POTTER SHEEP

These two players came this close to a unique answer:

Spoiler:

Kal-El Matthew Lewis (Neville) +2
majorjoe 23 Matthew Lewis (Neville) +2

But this answer was a semi-giant mistake:
Spoiler:

bunkaroo Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) +4
Super X Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) +4
TheAllPurposeNothing Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) +4
Abob Teff Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) +4

Which brings us to our unfortunate sheepy answer for the round:
Spoiler:

orangecrush Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) +6
Obi-Wan Jebroni Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) +6

That's really unfortunate. I considered that strategy but decided there were too many possible answers.
