While I'm by no means an originator of Sheep, I can tell you that the logic behind "more uniques = less points" is that "more uniques = more possible correct answers" and therefore easier odds for actually getting a unique. For example, if there are 20 players and 20 possible answers of relatively equal obscurity, then getting a unique isn't that special. Getting a unique becomes more about luck that it is about knowledge. Writing good reverse questions is tough. I know that when I ran a game, I spent a lot of time trying to find reverses that had a good balance of not too many correct answers, but not too few, all with varying levels of obscurity.

That may have been my first EVER unique on a reverse!
I still think -1 is lame for a unique since a shitty incorrect answer can match one person on a regular question and get a -2.
Question for the originators of Sheep -- What is the logic behind "more uniques = less points" anyway?

Reverses are tough to come up with. Depending on the number of players, I always liked questions with no more than 10 possible answers. I never liked to see unique answers to my reverse questions.

Well I guess I came up with one good reverse question at least.
And regarding question 19, the goal there was to make people choose whether it was worth burning a slam there or not since there were only 3 answers. Kind of unorthodox but I was running out of ideas!

That seems to be more prominent though (the extremely limited Reverse) ... Furthering the eternal "To Reverse Slam or not to Reverse Slam" debate. It's all good!
Somebody had mentioned a preference for shorter (15 questions vs. 20) Sheep games. What is the group thought on this? I have 20 questions ready for Bond, but I'm wondering if I should cut it down.

I let the topic and questions decide. I shoot for 20 questions, but if I don't feel I have enough good ones, I have no problem running with 15 or 17 or whatever. Plus when I'm running a game, I usually feel the players and I start to run out of gas toward the end. I almost never go over 20, though I think I might have gone with 23 for NBA Sheep just for symbolic reasons.

11. S: Still with our friends in the jungle, what member of Dutch's team had the best death? (Again character name or actor name will match but you need one).
