solid color Geometric shapes and pastel orange, blue, and magenta confetti - that's mid 80's graphic design.

The poster above is someone from the '60's experiencing an acid flashback in the '90's.

Looks like the background is purposefully distorted to hide some elements that will be revealed later (SDCC?)
WB won’t be at SDCC this year.

I like that poster...it's just a teaser poster. She looks in that outfit.

Here’s the complete color pallet of the 1984 Summer Olympics. Just use this. You’re welcome.

Oh and ‘84 was the first time women were allowed to run the marathon, so it’s all ra-ra girl-power approved.

Gadot really, really knock it out of the park and while I was not impress with how skinny she was in FnF. She has gain some weight and is looking amazing. She just glows during interviews and seems like a cool person to be around. Looking forward to WW2. (lol... maybe they might want a different acronym).

Isn't that why the hashtag is #WW84?

The poster is ugly and weird.

I am excited for this film. I love the ‘80s and so I think it’s an interesting setting. But if they fuck it up I’ll be disappointing.

I dig the poster. Gives off a pretty hardcore She-Ra vibe.

I'm more excited to see how Cheetah looks in full animal form.

The gold suit reminds me of the guards/army in Ming's palace in the 1980 Flash Gordon.

I'm hoping Diana has the big 80's glasses. This should be good, a year seems so far away.

After flashing on BB, I next thought of this

but that's Donna Troy (wasn't reading the books when she got that get up, so I have no clue of the origins or rationale behind it.)
I'm hoping Gal will be in the more traditional costume for most of the film.

Yeah, and I was thinking that it looked more 90s too.

And yet, I also got Flash Gordon vibes so I guess that counts as 80s-like?

I don't get the nostalgic 80s vibe from that poster really, but it's a poster that stands out in a good way. Not just the usual teal and orange. I like how they incorporated the W's into the background. I like that we'll be seeing her in a new costume too.

Gal looks radiant in that 80's style poster. LOVE IT! Well Done Patty and her crew.

That poster is rather poor. Very little imagination put into it. And not a fan of the costume. Looks too much like a swim suit.

Still, sure the movie will be entertaining.

Bur seriously, I like it.
You joke but let’s be honest, WW84 colors wouldn’t be so vibrant if GotG and Ragnorak were failures.

It’s DC playing catch up once again.

That being said, I’d much prefer they use brighter, more vibrant colors for these movies than the dark sepia toned, drab shit they’ve been doing with DC for the last several years. It’s about time DC learned that not every film needs to be Batman.

Don't worry, you're already disappointing.

I agree though, the poster is...odd. Thankfully, the quality of a movie poster is rarely an indicator of the quality of the movie, so I'm hopeful the movie will be awesome.

Re: Wonder Woman 1984 (2020, D: Jenkins) S: Gadot, Wiig -- News and Rumors

As Jay and Mike from RLM have sounded off about, its time that movies and TV shows moved on from 80s nostalgia. Its been done to death at this point. Only problem i guess is that most things from the 90s have aged so badly that the decade is hard to use for the nostalgia factor and anything from 2000 inwards is too recent.

As someone else said, i am more interested in seeing Cheetah than i am of Wonder Womans new costume.
