I expected Zoe to get the most votes and slapped my forehead once Lawrence and Weaver got the majority. Speaking of which, for the Actor question, when I wrote it I totally predicted Robert Downey Jr. would get a ton of votes (Iron Man / Sherlock Holmes). Of course, he got not votes at all. This is why I'm a better moderator than player.

For the actor question, I thought of a bunch of names but Harrison Ford wasn't one of them.
Neither was Arnold Schwarzenegger, who I thought would be the runaway answer.

I liked this answer, but knew it wouldn't be sheepy.
Whenever you can, Star Wars
MCU hasn't been getting much answers at all. Is it because it's too sprawling, and not direct sequels?

So it comes down to this for me: just because SOTL (the novel) was a sequel doesn't make its movie a sequel, just as I wouldn't consider a Brosnan Bond movie a sequel to a Dalton Bond movie, even though the books they were based on are part of the same series. There has to be a more obvious link within the movies themselves, proving they are part of the same universe.

I'm also on vacation this week so I probably won't be able to participate very much during the actual reveals. I'm pretty happy with where I sit at this point. Missed the slam on Star Trek, but I managed to get a decent scoring unique reverse answer with Rogue one, which almost never happens for me. Looking forward to day two

I did think of Jaws about an hour after I submitted and knew it was a better answer than mine, but the Star Trek blunder makes five points here or there rather inconsequential.

What's a "bootsy"?

A "bootsie" is putting an {sd} at the end of one of your Sheep answers because you are so sure it will be highly matched (and therefore doubled) and instead not matching anyone, scoring a 0 (x2).
An "orange crush" is adding a {sd} at the end of a Reverse Sheep answer because you think a lot of people will answer a Reverse question with the same answer and turns your positive (bad) score into a negative (good) score, and instead finding out that your Reverse answer was unique and changes a good negative score into a 0.
Both are especially disappointing because you have a finite number of {sd}s to play per game (five) and they can be the difference between winning and losing if played correctly.

I went with Paxton because when he passed it was mentioned over and over that he was in Alien, Terminator and Predator films... thought that might carry over... nope...
I always submit my answers right away, because I thought that was the premise, not to sit and think, and think, and think about it...

Yes, I consider the Connery/Moore/Dalton/Brosnan/Craig movies to be all of one series -- the "James Bond" series. But when push comes to shove, I would NOT consider each consecutive movie in that series to be a sequel to the previous one. Bond has never been big on building any kind of continuity, especially when the main actor changed. In my mind (and I think in the mind of the public) the series pretty much resets continuity whenever a new Bond actor takes over. (I say "pretty much" because yes, there's the Judy Dench problem.)
But I wouldn't apply the same logic to, say, Batman. I think the four Batman movies (starting with Burton's 1989 movie and concluding with Batman & Robin) are all a single series, with each movie being the sequel to the previous one, in spite of three men playing Batman. Then Nolan's Batman trilogy is a SEPARATE Batman series of its own and is not part of any overarching "Batman" series the way that there's an overarching "Bond" series.
Bottom line: I'm applying what I think would be the public perception of what a sequel is and what a series is when scoring this game, and it's really only the reverse questions that are affected at all, and even then just in one or two instances. And I'm willing to change my mind if a lot of players disagree with any of my decisions, but so far, there's really been only one objection to one of my decisions, but other players have backed me up.
Abob Teff, if it makes you feel better, I'll put a star by your name at the final tally, noting what your score would have been if I'd accepted SOTL as a sequel to Manhunter. At this point in the game, your ranking would not change at all, since it amounts to only a 4 point difference. It's all a game folks and I hope you're enjoying it.

You are just trolling with us with that Batman bit though, right? (Lego Batman showed all the movies are connected.)
