My dad took me to see Ghostbusters II in the theater. I made us leave after the ghost train scene in the subway with the evil voice yelling "winston".

Well the decapitated heads in that scene were probably too much for a young kid to see. It sucks to see the movie be pushed back again. I'll bet Top Gun gets moved again as well.

I always considered it an adventure story with comedic and spooky themes.

damn. I was hoping to at least see this at the drive-in this summer. Gonna suck if everything is delayed again all year.
I have no illusions that the pandemic will be fully over this year but this is a bad indicator.

Fall would be the earliest anything will appear "normal", so I'm assuming the same for movies. And if the schedule is too crowded, then hello 2022.

I just want a trailer. I'm really curious what tone it's taking.
As of right now, I'm thinking it's going to be a unique take on a genre film, along the lines of Joker.

Looks good!
I hope the trailer is only showing the first half hour or so of the movie though. I would hope there is more to it than just the kids finding old odds and ends of the original Ghostbusters.

So not a comedy at all then? That’s a pass from me.

If this is the best they can come up with after the last disaster, just please give it up!

Wait, is this a new trailer? Isn't this the same thing that's been around for a year? Why is everyone acting like this is the first time we've seen this?

It's the only trailer that has been released so far.

This literally is the original trailer. If you open it on youtube instead of playing the embed, you can see that it was posted on December 9, 2019

I didn’t go back and watch the original trailer to confirm - seemed like there was new stuff in it. I remember people saying that there might be more comedy highlighted in the next trailer so I was surprised they, once again, didn’t include any.

Yeah, but is there a trailer?

The second thing I would add is that a trailer with 45 seconds of dialogue, no appearence of any characters named Venkman or Stantz, with only a vague teasing of what the movie is going to look like, isn't exactly a solid enough foundation to be standing on to proclaim this movie won't have comedy. I'm pretty sure you could cut a pretty good fan trailer of the first 2 films that would make them appear to be humorless as well.
