Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021, D: Jason Reitman)

I wish, but the editing of the clip is a little off, it's clearly a cut down version of a longer scene, so I'm confident this is from the actual movie.

Nice featurette with some new footage with both Ivan and Jason Reitman talking about their history with Ghostbusters. I hope we get another trailer soon.

It feels like an apology for Ghostbusters 2016.

Call me a nerd, call me an incel, call me whatever you like. This has the "feel" of a Ghostbusters movie. Really looking forward to this.

Still not even a little bit funny, but better than that first trailer by a lot. At least I can tell this is a Ghostbusters movie. The special effects look good.

That new trailer did exactly what it was supposed to, it got me super excited for the movie without spoiling the whole thing!

Good trailer, I'm in.
I hear complaints that it doesn't look like a comedy. I think it will be what Ghostbusters is: funny and scary together. People have seen the original trailer for the original movie, right? That trailer, to me, is 75% serious, 25% funny, and the "funny" is basically Bill Murray being Bill Murray. Maybe Bill plus some of the music is lighthearted, here and there, but certainly not throughout. I think about the classic trailer (which is weirdly cut together, anyway, if you ask me) and the new trailer for the new movie, Paul Rudd was being wacky in this trailer, people would complain. If one of the kids was sassy like Bill Murray, people would complain. If no one is being wacky in this trailer, well, here we are.

I still feel strongly this would be far better served as a summer release than fall. This screams summer movie fun to me, I will try and see it when it's released but COVID is likely to be bad again by then so IDK if I will still be comfortable in theaters.

That's a good theory about the containment unit, though the team never caught Zuul, the dogs, or Vigo. But yeah, that was totally a dog.

that looked fucking brilliant and how reboots/remakes should be done. this will blow people away and i believe set pandemic BO record or whatever in theaters. looked like an absolute great re-imagining that will cater to fans of old and young fans anew, while keeping the old traditions alive and well. fantastic.
was that Bill Murray who said "We're closed." at end of trailer? played it back and really couldn't tell. could be Aykroyd, but it is a pick em.

I watched the final shot of the trailer twice and I’m pretty sure it’s Aykroyd. Although it did sound a bit like Murray.

Ah, more of what I want from a Ghostbusters movie - children
And still not a single joke to share. Weird for a reboot of one of the greatest comedies of all time.

The guy at the end is definitely Aykroyd - I mean, he's the one who has a paranormal store, so even if you're uncertain about the voice, it fits that character. But, yeah, as Obi-Wan posted above, Murray IS in this movie, as is Ernie Hudson. I heard they shot all their footage in a day or two, so they probably all just have cameos and or a scene or two.
I'm convinced this is a sci-fi movie that will have touches of humor in it, as opposed to a comedy that has a sci-fi theme. I think it's pretty clear from the newest trailer that what Jason Reitman wanted to do was make a "love letter" to his father's film and the original cast, as opposed to trying to top the antics of the original - and I'm fine with that.
