That part was pretty silly to me. Not sure why he would have had it hidden in the wall in the first place. Other than to give us the scene where he’s breaking it out.

There was too much of a difference between the mentality of Leatherface from the original and this one. It was a gory ride but fell short of feeling like a true sequel to the original.

Seriously, I'm just gonna watch X later and pretend it's a TCM without Leatherface.

I'm not saying it's a great movie at all but it was a breezy, fun 80 minutes. As far as the bus scene, I think yall are being too critical. Buses are narrow. Is anyone seriously saying if there's a huge guy with a chainsaw in front of you you're not going to run back and away? It's instinct. Do bus windows even open enough that a person could crawl through?

Did you watch the movie? At the end of that scene, someone just slides open a window, slowlyyyyyy crawls out and gets cut in half. Anyone could have done that during the carnage and slipped out.

No, I didn't watch it. I just said it was fun and breezy for the hell of it.

It's a dumb movie, like most of the genre is but don't pretend you'd know how you'd act irl if someone was waving a chainsaw at you.

They should have had a few slip out of the bus and they could have added a few more minutes and the suspense of a hunt and peck around town. The whole entourage didn't need to die in the party bus.

I just finished this. Texas Chainsaw Massacre is my least favorite horror franchise outside of, maybe, Hellraiser. This movie wasn't good, but I don't think it was terrible either. Not sure how I feel about Sally Hardesty's involvement in this or as a Texas ranger of all things.Didn't really like any of the new characters outside of maybe Dante's girlfriend and she died pretty early. This franchise as a whole hasn't been good since the original, but at least my expectations were low.

This is Texas Chainsaw Massacre 9. You really should have adjusted your expectations before watching it.

When the asshole local redneck is the most likable character you know you’ve got some shitty characters.

I’m not sure why horror movies like this have such a hard time making characters you actually root for.

Re: Texas Chainsaw Massacre Direct Sequel (2022, D: Garcia, P: Fede Alvarez)

Finally got a chance to watch this a few hours ago.

As mentioned previously, its better than Texas Chainsaw (2013) & Leatherface (2017) but that really isn't saying much, especially when better equates to more gore and a shorter run-time.

Almost everything about this film is a garbled mess, including its awful attempt at Social Commentary.

Also, I don't know if it was meant to be funny but
Spoiler:
the addition of a self-driving car in the final shot was absolutely hilarious

Loved the final 30 seconds. The gore was so gross. Movie was okay but not special.

I watched this last night and this was totally my thought on this movie.

This movie is dumb as dirt but damn, I had a lot of fun watching it. Several of the woundings and kills are fucking brutal. There were many times I even shouted, "Holy Shit!" out loud when various bones were broken, the bus scene or several other reveals.

The newest Halloween Ends is just as dumb (if not dumber), but this movie was at least fun to watch which I can't say for the last couple of Halloweens.
