Jackass Forever (2022)

Jackass will continue to prevail on the big screen as Paramount has announced tonight a March 5, 2021 release date for the fourth movie. Based on the MTV reality stunt-prank series that launched in 2000, created by Johnny Knoxville, Spike Jonze and Jeff Tremaine, Paramount took the brand to the big screen in 2002. Through three movies to date, the franchise has racked up over $335M.

Tremaine directed the last three movies in addition to Knoxville comedy Bad Grandpa which grossed $151.8M back in the fall of 2013 and was billed as a ‘Jackass presents’ production.

re: Jackass Forever (2022)

I wonder if this will focus more on gross-out stunts than the physical stuff. These guys are pushing fifty; I'm younger than they are and I cringe at the thought of rolling down stairs, getting tossed across parking lots, and falling on my ass constantly like they used to do.

I'm hoping more stuff like the little people benny hill bit in the pub. Or the stuff with Johnny Knoxville and Spike Jonze in old people make up. The pranks were always the best.

The movie would be fine without him.

I'll miss Ryan Dunn in this. He was the only one from the CKY crew that I really liked. He seemed to reign in Bam somewhat, without Ryan I wouldn't want Bam in this.

Anyone else have problems watching these movies? I feel kind of a weird psychological pain when I watch people get hurt, so sitting through the first movie was torture to me.

I mean the thing is they know what they’re getting themselves into to an extent at least. I’ve liked all the movies but kinda feel like they’ve waited too long to do another. They seem pretty old now to be doing some of the stunts they used to do. I’ll still watch it though.

More like trying to clean himself up from being an alcoholic and drug addict.

Bam got fat, too. There was a documentary (or maybe a reality TV show) that I watched a couple years ago where he was trying to get his shit together. It was pretty sad how bad of a skateboarder he had become.

Bam went to Dr. Phil to try to get help and went to rehab. He's been on a downward spiral since Ryan Dunn's death.

Jackass 4 Filming Update

In a Cameo feature from Bam we've gotten our first official update from the set of Jackass 4.

According to Bam, Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O have been hospitalized due to injuries on the second day of filming. If this is a sign of things to come then we are in for a treat with this movie (assuming they survive the filming process!).

re: Jackass Forever (2022)

I still feel the same as my initial post. Liked the show, and in particular the movies, but at this point they’re old to be doing a lot of the stunts. If two of the guys already hurt themselves on day two of filming it doesn’t seem like a good sign.

I get that they’re bound to hurt themselves at some point, but at this point they could probably get seriously injured if not careful, which at that point it’s not fun to watch anymore.

re: Jackass Forever (2022)

The sad thing is that Jackass is the only thing that makes most of these guys relevant. It's their meal ticket.

Someone already said this, but their age is catching up to them real quick. This has got to be their swan song.

(and please, no stunts involving shit).

Yeah, Knoxville is really the only one who’s kind of had a career outside the Jackass brand. Nothing major, but he’s at least been in some non-stunt films.

There are few things in life that make me laugh harder than Jackass.

I'm a little worried given how much time has passed from the last one, but I'll always be there day one for anything Jackass related

There are some gags that I can find funny today but these movies don't have the appeal to me as they did when they first came out. It's hard to watch knowing that Ryan Dunn is gone and I think Bam is still trying to get Sober. Thankfully Steve-O cleaned himself up.

The most painful thing to watch is still papercuts between the fingers and toes in the first one.

re: Jackass Forever (2022)

Bam Margera has revealed that he won't be in Jackass 4.

The skater had been part of the cast for the upcoming movie, but the 41-year-old has now revealed that he has been cut from the movie.

In a video post, which has reportedly since been deleted, Bam hit out at Paramount Pictures for their alleged treatment of him.

He also urged his fans to boycott the movie when it is eventually released.

"Who the f*** cares if I'm drunk as hell anymore? Jackass has put me through hell on f***ing wheels for a year-and-a-half," says Bam, claiming Paramount forced him to take multiple breathalyser tests, give urine samples, and filmed him taking anti-depressants.

In the video, he goes on: "I wrote them so many ideas, and if I'm not in the movie and they use my ideas, how do you think that will make me feel?

"The last thing I want to do is be in a court room with Jeff Tremaine, I love him.

"But f***, man, I'm not in Jackass 4? If anybody cares about me, don't go see their movie, because I will make mine way f***ing radder if you just Venmo me a dollar.

"Jackass was everything to me."

In another part of the 10-minute video, Bam goes into more detail about how the whole situation had affected him personally and again urged fans not to see the new Jackass film.

Bam said: "If you're a fan of mine, you would understand the f***ing pain that I am going through with Jackass putting me through the ringer, dude.

"If anybody cares about me at all, then throw me a f***ing bone and send a dollar to this Venmo and the more you send, the radder s*** we can do, and I give everyone f***ing credit for it.

"Like, I can't compete with their $10m, ladies and gentlemen, but if I had that, I would blow them out of the f***ing water."

Adding: "Jackass does not care about me. Understand that, ladies and gentlemen.

"It was like my family, that won't let me in because they say I'm out there being a Jackass on TMZ. So I can't be in Jackass because I'm out there being a jackass?"

The fourth film in the series, which was originally due to be released in March 2021, has now been given a later release date of 2 July 2021 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

This latest Jackass flick was announced in December and will be the first since 2010's Jackass 3D, as well as the first time that the gang have filmed together since the tragic death of their friend and fellow cast member Ryan Dunn.

The films, released in 2003, 2006 and 2010, were all box office hits. At a budget of less than $20m for each film, they collectively brought in $335m at the box office around the globe.

LADbible has reached out to Paramount Pictures for a comment.

Bam Margera acknowledged he needs help to treat his manic bipolar disorder ... one day after going on a "Jackass 4" boycott rant and opening up about suicidal tendencies.
The 'Jackass' star said he's visiting a bipolar specialist on Friday ... one day after, in his words, going "bat s**t bonkers f**king crazy." Bam said he didn't know for a year and a half whether he was going to be part of "Jackass 4" ... and it seems he got the answer he was looking for -- it's happening.
Bam said it's good news, for sure, and added that, in the end, everybody wins and there's no bad blood. This is a huge about-face after going on several rants Thursday morning ... from calling for a "Jackass 4" boycott to going into detail about having suicidal thoughts.
Bam posted 3 separate videos to Instagram, which have all since been deleted, claiming he had been shut out of "Jackass 4." Not the case, it seems.
BTW, this is not the first time Bam's acknowledgee struggling with bipolar disorder -- he said as much in September 2019.

Nah, Steve-O is pretty successful too. His YouTube channel is huge (millions of subscribers), has done stand up tours, and seems to be a guest on everything
