I saw a test screening of Dune Part Two a few weeks ago.
I was really kind of shocked that Zendaya did a lengthy full-frontal nude scene. She really looked gorgeous out of that stillsuit. You literally saw everything. I'm surprised she did it since she always stays fully dressed in Euphoria.
I hope they don't remove it to get a PG-13 rating.

Asteroid City got away with a quick flash and was able to keep the PG-13...

Yeah that looks great. Would love if Villeneuve got the Peter Jackson treatment at the Oscars for nailing the landing. I'm just a little concerned that EEAaO sweeping last Oscars will make them reluctant to give their top prizes to another "genre film".

That does look fantastic. I need to rewatch part 1 again soon.

Looks fantastic. I revisited Part One recently so I am all kinds of ready for this. It also looks like they are borrowing elements from (or at least paving the way for an adaptation of) Dune Messiah.

Villeneuve said around the release of Part One that if success made it possible he would like to eventually adapt ‘Dune Messiah’ but as one film, not split into two.

They've got the look right, but I wonder if the tonal shift of Paul going tyrant will turn off some viewers.

Honestly, the tyrant element was in the book also, it was just more subtle. Readers were so enthralled with Paul "winning" that they didn't notice it as much. Obviously, the sequel novels changed that.

According to some sources, Messiah has been greenlit.

Deadline recently reported that Dune: Part Two would be the second movie in a planned three-film saga. Deadline’s Chief Film Critic Pete Hammond confirmed Dune 3 to World of Reel, saying, “That is what Denis says is the plan.”

Calling it a "planned three-film saga" is odd, since Messiah (as written by Herbert) would leave movie-goers with less closure than Dune: Part 2. Even the Sci-Fi Channel version chose to adapt it as the first night of a three night miniseries with Children of Dune.
The second book may be the end of Paul as the lead character, but his story isn't quit finished. I'm curious how deep WB is willing to go in adapting this series, since things become more out there (certainly less accessible to mainstream audiences) after book three.

I'd like to see them get to God Emperor, at least.
I don't think I was able to make it through the SyFy Children of Dune miniseries. From what I remember, the books it was based on were enough of a slog. God Emperor should, at least, have some crazy visuals.

I thought God Emperor of Dune was a tedious slog. Children of Dune, on the other hand, was a wild ride. But I understand the former book's function as a deconstruction of the latter. Similar to what Dune Messiah does to the narrative of Dune.

Now what’s up with Legendary/Warner Bros’ Dune: Part Two? We told you it wouldn’t be shocking if the feature moved off its golden November 3 theatrical release date. Denis Villeneuve got stiffed with WarnerMedia’s theatrical day-and-date experiment, which prevented the movie from being the Star Wars blockbuster it could have been; the pic still is one of the highest-grossing movies of the 2021 pandemic at $402 million worldwide and notched several Oscar wins.
As of today, Dune: Part Two is not moving, but if Zendaya with her 200 million social media followers can turn Challengers into a counterprogramming success, she can certainly help in trumpeting the feature take of the Frank Herbert novel. Of course, it stands to reason that Villeneuve and Legendary are going to wait this sci-fi spectacle out; why would they allow it to become distribution collateral damage again?
I hear Legendary, which is in the pilot’s seat here on the pic’s fate, is in wait-and-see mode and has until September before Dune 2‘s next leg of marketing has to go.
If Dune: Part Two moves, where does it go? I hear there are three spring options, and you just have to look at the release calendar: March, April or a break in the summer connected to a possible Cannes Film Festival launch. Warners already has the following dates on hold in regards to where Dune: Part Two could go: March 15, where Legendary has its next Godzilla/King Kong movie; April 19, which they have on reserve for an event title; or June 21, an untitled open slot for the Burbank lot.

This is too big and too expensive of a movie to have no cast involvement promoting it. This is the kind of movie that needs a worldwide promotional tour like what Cruise and company did for Mission Impossible. It would be a huge gamble to proceed without it. Can't rely on dorks on the internet or YouTubers to spread WOM.
