Immaculate (2024, D: Mohan) S: Sydney Sweeney
Sydney Sweeney (Anyone But You, Euphoria, The White Lotus) stars as Cecilia, an American nun of devout faith, embarking on a new journey in a remote convent in the picturesque Italian countryside. Cecilia’s warm welcome quickly devolves into a nightmare as it becomes clear her new home harbors a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors.

Word from SXSW sounds pretty positive. A nice throwback to older giallo.
There are some sneak screenings tonight a select cinemas... mostly Drafthouses I think.

I haven't, I only know her from Baby (really good series) on Netflix, but will certainly look into it. Appreciate the recommendation.

I am so sick of stock trailers like this nowadays. Loud sounds! Quick jump cuts with a no-scare jump scare! Even louder sounds! Actions matching the music! Even louder louder sounds!

Re: Immaculate (2024, D: Mohan) S: Sydney Sweeney
And from there we can go back to 1979 and LIFE OF BRIAN, and then to 1976 and the SNUFF protests, the latter which were largely staged to drum up ‘controversy’ for the film, and ended up attracting real protesters, which then generated even more publicity and box-office. You could put the film’s ending on YouTube today and no one would bat an eye.
I’ve always wondered if some of those SILENT NIGHT DEADLY NIGHT protests weren’t staged as well.
I’ll see this on video later, but kudos to the distributor for having fun with the outrage (assuming it’s really them doing that).

I mean that's funny and all, but today you can see it for $5 in many places.

Gonna wait for digital on this one. Looks interesting and Sweeney is growing on me, although I find her annoying in some stuff.

I don't have Regals or Cinemarks here, but here are their Tuesday Discount programs. For AMC, you have to login with a Stubs membership to see the discount.
Regal:https://www.regmovies.com/promotions/regal-value-days
Cinemark: https://www.cinemark.com/discounts/discount-tuesdays/
Now they may not be cheaper than 6.66, but I'm thinking that they should be cheaper than the prices that you quoted if you use their rewards programs. Maybe I'm wrong tho.

NEON's marketing team strikes again
Gorgeous cinematography but I didn't care much about anything else. I would definitely put that on Andrew Lobel's drab script.
The final 10-15 minutes are a neat little nod to classic Italian Horror.
