Aimée Mann Fans?

Do we have any Aimée Mann fans here on the forum?

I really like her a lot after recently seeing Magnolia. My favorite songs from the movie are "Wise Up", "Save Me" and her Three Dog Night cover of "One".

Yeah, Magnolia is what really made me a fan of hers...

Didn't know she had an accent in her name though

Same here; Magnolia turned me into a fan. Before that film all I knew of her was the Til Tuesday song Voices Carry. Hadn't heard anything else from her and wrote her off as a one hit wonder. Boy, was I wrong. Went out and bought all her stuff after Magnolia.

Yep, I'm a fan. Although it's "Aimee Mann" (no accent).

Yeah, her last album is great, can't wait for new material. I kicked myself for not seeing her when she came to town last year with Juliana Hatfield.

Add me to the list of people who became a fan after seeing Magnolia. I have since bought her other albums.

Me too, Magnolia did it for me... went out, bought all her stuff right away...became hardcore. Saw her show in Toronto and it was amazing, also met her before hand and got my records signed, very quiet and nice woman...

She's excellent. What's weird is I was reading the insert for one of my old Dead Milkmen albums and they thank her. Hmmmm, I'm going to have to see what rare old albums she may have.

I've been hooked on her since the second 'Til Tuesday album and on. Brilliant singer/songwriter. Criminally overlooked by the general public.

Love, love, love her. I saw her a few years ago in a small club to support the wonderful "I'm With Stupid" album. She' great live as well.
Her two collaberations with Elvis Costello are amazing songs (The Other End of the Telescope & The Fall of the World's Own Optimist).

My favourite CD is "Whatever" which must have been released early to mid 90s.

Don't just start post-magnolia
