Pretty sucky if you ask me.
Thanks for confirming. Looks like I'll stick with the USA version for now. I don't think I need to give Interscope and MM more $$ to see one additional video.

I must say I'm really dissapointed over the DVD. I wish it had Tainted Love, (s)AINT, and Personal Jesus. They can't say Tainted Love wasn't on because it was a soundtrack video.... so were Rock Is Dead and Long Hard Road Out Of Hell. And if the Personal Jesus video exists to promote this release, SHOULDNT it be on the realease itself??? (s)AINT being too graphic?? This is a Marilyn Manson release!!!

However, they made up for some of the flaws with the cool menus.

But then Manson goes and omitts Vancouver from the new tour!

it's a free dvd, has a hell of a lot more content than other free dvd limited editions.

on the other hand, bought from best buy, and mine didn't even have the cd in the case just the dvd...wtf.
now i gotta return it.

While I would agree with what you are saying, it isn't a "free" DVD. The CD only version is cheaper than the w/ DVD version. So it is a heavily discounted DVD, but not free.

I was able to "obtain" the sAINT video so I am just going to get the version in stores.

Possibly Tainted Love wasn't included (along with Personal Jesus) because they are covers and they couldn't get the rights? That would make the most sense to me.

that is true, it wasn't free.

but i guess i'm more or less comparing it to other limited editions..like the cure or morrissey dvd.

yeah i didn't go for trying to get the unedited saint vid cause i figured i could find it on the net somewhere. it's just interesting that the sticker on the front of the album was saying that it was the unedited version.

Well my Japanese version has both (s)AINT and Personal Jesus, so I'm happy. None of the versions have Tainted Love; sucks, I know, not to have a complete collection, but it's a rights issue.

I wouldn't worry about any of this. Unless the artist is dead or retired, any video collection would eventually be incomplete as they'll make more.
Plus, being that the DVD part of this set is limited, they'll have to re-release it in another form someday, with more videos added.

For those with the DVD, there is a hidden video (alternate take of Disposable Teen video). Check out the Easter Egg page for it.

The mexican edition also has Personal Jesus and (s)AINT. Apart from the alternate take on the Disposable Teens video, it also has a making of Mobscene and another short video called AUTOPSY, which is....disturbing

these "best-ofs" that are far from complete, and include bonus dvds that are also far from complete frustrate me. i'm all for a manson collection, but my god, how hard is it to do the job right? see: stp, rhcp, etc.

then again, it may be impossible to make a truely complete best of now, due to the ton of record label sanctions, restrictions, bans, whatever.

Alright - with all this stuff, can we just answer one question.

Where can I purchase the Japanese version?

Oh and I didn't know there was a new tour - may have to check that out when tickets go on sale for the Ohio venues.

Get the Japanese version at Amazon.co.jp. With the coupon it comes out to less than 40 bucks.

The problem is, I can't find an online site that sells Mexican cds, where I can order this and get it shipped to the US. Otherwise, I probably would go this route.
