Billy Joel 1978 The Stranger Tour at MSG, I was walking home from Jr. High one day and found a envelope full of tickets in the street!! The envelope was unmarked must have been a scalpers stash because they were all different tickets, ticketmaster and direct from the box office type, all in different locations. I sold some of them and went to the show and had a great time

The Clash -- 1982 -- Pontiac Silverdome
They were opening for The Who (along with Eddie Money) but I was there to see The Clash. Concerts have been all downhill ever since.

I remember vividly:
Dramarama - Hollywood Paladium '87
I was a paltry 15 years old and never saw a mosh pit before. Decided to never enter one.

Earth, Wind & Fire 1977 at MSG. My Brother and I were on our way to the movies in Times Square and a scalper outside the Garden wanted to get rid of his last 2 tix. We paid $9 each for 20th row seats. We were two rows behind Stevie Wonder. Best Night Ever.

Molly Hatchet at Six Flags over Texas, July or August 1982.
"I'm travelling down that road and I'm flirting with disaster!!!"
I also saw the Police "Synchronicity Tour" w/ UB40 at the Summit, Houston in 1984.

More from Wikipedia:
The most famous event during the tour took place during a show on August 8, 1992 at Montreal's Olympic Stadium. Metallica frontman James Hetfield suffered second and third degree burns to his left arm after stepping too close to a pyrotechnics blast during the opening of "Fade to Black". Metallica was forced to cancel the second hour of the show, but promised to return to the city for another show. After a long delay, during which the audience became increasingly restless, Guns N' Roses took the stage. However, the shortened time between sets did not allow for adequate tuning of stage monitors, resulting in musicians not being able to hear themselves. In addition, GN'R's notoriously volatile frontman Axl Rose claimed that his throat hurt, causing the band to leave the stage early. The cancellation led to a riot by audience members, reminiscent of the rioting that had occurred during a GNR show near St. Louis one year earlier. This time the aggrieved audience members overturned cars, smashed windows, looted local stores and set fires. Local authorities were barely able to bring the mob under control. Footage from the debacle was later included in the 1992 documentary A Year and a Half in the Life of Metallica.
