Picked up the latest Frightened Rabbit cd a couple weeks ago and have really been enjoying it.

I've been digging Fleet Foxes and Frightened Rabbit too.

My band of the moment: Girls in Hawaii

Tegan and Sara, up until last week I never heard of them. Then browsing around for a song I heard in a T.V. ad I listened to their cover of Springsteen's Dancing in The Dark:

Better version here

Listen to samples on Amazon
Since then I've gotten 2 of their albums (The Con & So Jealous) and they're pretty much all I've been listening to.

Ulver. My thread has some good examples of their work. They are pretty much unclassifiable from album to album. Everything from black metal to folk and electronic.

I was downloading some Lucero stuff on eMusic and noticed recommendations for Two Cow Garage, and I'll be damned if they don't kick all sorts of ass. I couldn't believe I had never heard of them, especially since they hail from about 100 miles away in Columbus. They apparently put on a hell of a live show, too, so I'm keeping an eye on their upcoming concert dates and locations.
