So, um... Phish is back
guess i'm not too surprised to not see a thread about this over here yet, but...

PHISH TO PLAY THREE CONCERTS 10.01.08

Phish returns to the stage for three concerts at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia on March 6, 7 and 8, 2009.

A limited number of tickets are available directly through Phish Tickets' online ticketing system at http://phish.portals.musictoday.com/ . The ticketing request period is currently underway and will end on Wednesday, October 8th at 11:59AM EST.

Tickets go on sale to the public on Saturday, October 18th at 10 AM EST and may be purchased online at http://ticketmaster.com or by phone at 757.671.8100, 757.872.8100 or 804.262.8100. Tickets will not be available at the venue box office and there is a two-ticket limit per show.

The band intends to announce additional touring in 2009 early next year.
i'm more excited than i thought i would be, but i'm not gonna go too crazy trying to get tickets for these shows. i put in for tickets, and i'll try ticketmaster, but i'm not gonna be too upset if i'm not there.

just hoping they do it right this time.

I put in for the tickets and tried to find a hotel for the weekend. Every Hotel is sold out in a 5 mile radius.

Put in for tickets and luckily have friends that live very close to Hampton.

What's this about hotels? I say get a van or pitch a tent and hang out with the tapers! Just don't eat the chimichangas. I am excited that they are touring again but won't go to that show. Hopefully they head towards Texas.

I take it you've never been to Hampton, I would barley feel safe sleeping in a hotel room.

i'm not gonna worry about hotels until i have tickets. i don't mind having something 10 miles away from the venue. we'll see if the tickets actually happen first.

Good news, would love to see them again, I hope the 09 tour is pretty extensive.

My mom and brother gave me tickets to the Clifford Ball for my graduation and then my brother and I drove cross country to see them, what a great time.

F.Y.I. the closest hotel is now 16 miles away. I want those tickets now.

The DVD geek in me had a huge hard on when I saw that posted

My buddy and I are planning on doing Hampton (I already have Sunday, need the rest), Jones Beach, Bonnaroo and Redrocks. Best Summer Ever.

Nice, I'm all over that. That was a great road trip to NY, I think at that time it was the biggest (attendance wise) show in history in N. America.

anybody else end up going? I made to Saturday and Sunday, with Saturday being one of the best shows i've ever seen. Amazing time all weekend, the Mothership has landed.
