re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread

The Bad Blood video is ruined with Kendrick Lamar rapping throughout the entire song.

The album version of the song has no rap.

"New Romantics" should be the next single though it sounds like a Katy Perry song probably since Max Martin the Swedish producer wrote it.

I wonder if she will be the Super Bowl 50 halftime performer unless the NFL does not want 2 female pop stars as their halftime act for 2 consecutive years.

Maybe her 2 night concert at Levi's Stadium in Aug will be a trial run.

What a treat: Taylor had a big surprise for her fans as she was joined on stage by her model BFFs Gigi Hadid and Martha Hunt during the Detroit stop of her tour

'Home Slice, Catastrophe, and Slay-Z': Having already shown off her catwalk skills at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show in London last year, Taylor once again proved she could easily by a model as she sashayed alongside her pals

A relative of mine was at that show.

I'm lukewarm on her music, but I'll be honest, with all respect to Swift, no matter how much makeup and leather she wears, I just think she has no sex appeal at all.

That's fine. We all have different preferences. In some ways, I still think of Swift as the little girl I met years ago, but now she seems pretty smokin'. One more thing to make me feel old.

Has everyone seen the current Maxim cover? She has very little makeup on and is nearly unrecognizable. To me she looks more attractive. More like a real person and less like a pixie.

Well, she's without her lipstick, which is a strong characteristic, but the hair is also a big difference in that shot.

re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread

The hair is sure a big difference, and I'm not really even a big fan of the hair, as it's just wet, but the way her face is done looks more natural to me, and the first time I saw it (the subscriber copy, which I have, doesn't have any text on the cover, apart from the magazine logo) I had to open the magazine to figure out who it was.

I'm sure she's still wearing makeup, but her face doesn't look as "painted on" as it typically does.

Has a kind of "morning after" look, to be honest, it almost looks like she just rolled out of bed. Personally, I kind of think it's admirable that she's not always doing photoshoots in her underwear and vamping it up like so many starlets are today. But yeah, she always lathers on so much makeup that she does look less "artificial." I don't mean any offense with that word or for the description to be taken literally, I just can't think of any other word.

She has physically attractive characteristics, I just find her more "pretty" than attractive, if that makes any sense. She just doesn't have enough spunk for me. Sex appeal isn't just about physical attractiveness, there's a swagger to it too, IMO. But hey, I'm a guy judging the physical attractiveness of a woman on the Internet, and I've always thought that was a pretty low thing to do, so maybe I should STFU.

re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread

This was one fan she could not "Shake It Off"

If anyone cares her next single will be "Wildest Dreams"

I want the "New Romantics" to follow.

Could the "1989" album be the equivalent of "Trhiller" with multiple #1 hit singles?

And yet another internet tough guy trying to shame women he doesn't know and probably beats off to a ton of porn. Ugh the stupidity of men who shame women like this makes no damn sense.

As for the picture, she has the old school model look down. Not a fan of it, but it is very different in this day and age. Always good to branch out and give something new a try like that.

Katy Perry's Teenage Dream is the modern day equivalent of Thriller.

http://www.billboard.com/articles/ne...acksons-record

Though Thriller sold like 50 million+ units and teenage dreem sold around 6 million.

I'm so excited for Ryan Adam's track for track cover of 1989. I bet it'll be awesome.

re: Taylor Swift -- Discussion Thread

Some people think her new music video is racist for romanticizing white colonialism and using Africa as a backdrop for a story about white people.

I don't see that.

Better on the eyes than on the nose, from what I've heard.

Ryan's album came out Sunday and it is awesome. His take on these songs improve just about every one of them.
