Still waiting on mine too. I'm not worried though, I mentally prepared myself for up to two months.

If there any non member coupons available by PM I'll take one. Sucks that Carnival of Souls is OOS right now.

Re: Complete 3 Stooges Shorts $30 at Best Buy

I found one on the shelf today and it rung up for $29.99. What a freaking steal. Plus I used that mystery reward coupon that they emailed out a week or so back for an additional $5 back. Just over...

Re: Might be time to upgrade the projector. Any new developments?

I've done a home theater install before, and I build screens all the time for work- I'm pretty sure those screens that you have to assemble have snaps. It's not like a canvas you have to stretch and...

Re: I just bought my first 3DTV.. What 3D movies are a must?

I'd also like to add a vote for Creature from the Black Lagoon. It looks awesome in 3D.

Re: Fallout 3: GOTY or Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate

I have yet to play NV: Ultimate, because I'm cheap. But having played FO3: GOTY and New Vegas (regular), I have to give the edge to Fallout 3. Playing it for the 1st time was amazing- one of my all...

Re: Django Unchained (Tarantino, 2012) — The Reviews Thread

I saw it today and really enjoyed it. I am not what you'd call a Tarantino fan-boy. I've seen his movies probably one time each, but I usually enjoy them. His movies have been a little over-long...

Re: Another "Walking Dead" showrunner steps down

This.

I finally got my girlfriend to watch the pilot, and she became addicted. So I basically rewatched the entire series in about two weeks. It's not a popular opinion, but I also like the...

re: Best Buy / bestbuy.com discounts and deals on Blu-ray

Yep, it was that price at least once at Target, which is when I picked it up. Pretty good deal considering I got $7 for my DVD trilogy on eBay soon after.

Re: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (Jackson, 2012) — The Reviews Thread

I think the Hobbit is a good candidate, because certain scenes in this movie lend itself to showcasing the technology more than any other sort of movie. In fact, other than The Hobbit, I'm trying to...

Re: Jack Reacher (12/21/12, Dir: C. McQuarrie) (Cruise, Jenkins, Duvall, Pike, etc)

That's a pretty accurate description. ^^^

I will say I thought the car chase was really well done.

Re: Jack Reacher (12/21/12, Dir: C. McQuarrie) (Cruise, Jenkins, Duvall, Pike, etc)

Yeah. I don't know when you saw it, or what stage or production... but did any of the scenes between them seem awkward? There seemed quite a few weird pauses when they did scenes together- almost...

Re: Jack Reacher (12/21/12, Dir: C. McQuarrie) (Cruise, Jenkins, Duvall, Pike, etc)

Yeah there were a few bumps along the way, but I found it to be a decent mystery/thriller with some good action scenes. Don't expect much out of Herzog as the villain though. When I saw the test...

Re: Jack Reacher (12/21/12, Dir: C. McQuarrie) (Cruise, Jenkins, Duvall, Pike, etc)

I saw this movie at a test screening earlier this year. Although I'm not going to give any major plot points away or ruin anything- I'll hide it in spoiler tags anyway because I know how sensitive...

Re: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (Jackson, 2012) — The Reviews Thread

Saw it yesterday is 3D IMAX HFR. I was excited because according to theonering.net's chart there was a theater playing it in IMAX 3D HFR and ATMOS. Come to find out the HFR and ATMOS were two...

Re: Criterion sale at bestbuy.com & amazon

Well it at least runs through today on Best Buy. I ordered Brazil this morning for 20.99, and I'm picking it up in a bit. Great price.

Re: Barnes and Noble Criterion/Art House Sale 10/30/12-11/19/12

Re: Barnes and Noble Criterion/Art House Sale 10/30/12-11/19/12

Ok, so I decided I needed to use it one last time today. Same store different cashier again. It didn't work. The two other times the cashiers, went through a series of steps, which they sort of...

Re: World War Z

I've only ever seen the 1st. I thought it was a glossy, slick take on a genre that doesn't lend itself to either adjective. While I guess it may not be prudent to criticize films I haven't seen:...

Re: Barnes and Noble Criterion/Art House Sale 10/30/12-11/19/12

B&N Buzz still works, and I have the receipt to prove it. I've had two different cashiers at the same B&N in Manassas, VA use it for me. I picked up the Royal Tenenbaum's for $14.99 yesterday. I...

Re: World War Z

The trailer had a few cool scenes, but lots of the action looked cartoonish- I probably won't catch it in theaters. I have not read the book, so I don't have that baggage- but it still looked corny....
