Thanks and we do appreciate your business.
I sent an e-mail also, and I appreciated the fact that he actually tried to get ahold of me personally (my e-mail is not listed but gkleinman forwarded his message to me) in addition to posting here.

He got back to me saying he would investigate and get back to me within 24-hours. He hasn't gotten back to me yet (it's been less than 24-hours), but I'm glad he's on the case.

However... I already got some other news regarding my order.

Before I complained through the BBB yesterday, I fired off an angry note to Overstock demanding that they deal with me and not send me a canned "it'll take 3-weeks" reply. I wanted to know when my DVDs REALLY shipped out...

Well, I got a reply to that complaint... I was just told that my DVDs have NOT shipped yet (Please note that I ordered on June 13th.)

EDIT I forgot to mention that they also apologized and offered me a $5 credit. They also said if I didn't get the DVDs by July 6th they would send them again (or something like that)End EDIT

I guess I can take some solace in the fact that they're being up front with me... right?

I'm reserving final judgement until I see what jwerlin comes up with.

I'm w/ you...ordered the 14th and still just listed as "accepted." Going to try to e-mail - I'll take the shipping refund if I can get it (which I definitely should!)...I wasn't needing these in three days or anything, but this is getting a bit ridiculous - all I'm saying is that it better be the right Blues Brothers!!!

Well right now, I am doing my best to reserve judgment on this until I hear back from J.P. Werlin. I was told that I would hear back possibly last night, but at the latest this morning, but nothing yet.

I am not overly confident at this point though. I was told in no uncertain terms, yesterday for the third time, that my order did ship on the 13th. I am not out to get a discount or take advantage of a poor situation, I simply want the truth and if the order will not arrive very shortly, I want a refund. This isn't an issue about impatience either; part of the order was intended to be a gift and since I have not received the order I have to buy a substitute. So for me, unless the order arrives in the next day or two, it serves no purpose.

What I am curious about, and no one from Overstock or on these boards has mentioned, is how have they shipped these orders-- Is it 1st class mail or some other method? I can't understand how 1st class mail could ever take so long.

I bet anything overstock will take about 2-3 weeks to even ship the orders, then add insult to injury by mailing them parcel post.

me too.. the worst is that my mother in law ordered a featherbed. the ups tracking link shows a package going to who knows who (some person in a different state). Their tracking system sucks. If they sent it to the wrong person too, it's gonna get ugly. If they put up a wrong link, it's just unacceptable. They didn't even send a shipping notice yet.

I am anxiously awaiting a response from the persone Mr. Werlin forwarded the inquiry to. Their systems are awful but at least someone is trying.

My wife got just the Grinch DVD and still nothing on her other two... It's just not pretty from the comments I see here and what my relatives are dealing with. I am just trying to help them.

Hey cozmo, I'm interested if they ever sent you an e-mail saying that your items were shipped.

Even though my items are still "Accepted" I got two e-mails telling me they had shipped

getting better

I ordered DVD's from overstock.com also. I received mine today and the CSR told me the warehouse wouldn't be backlogged after this weekend. I couldn't find these prices anywhere else and if they resolved their problem then I am going to order from them because of the money I save.

I was told per J.P. Werlin that I would receive a response from him with a resolution at the latest yesterday morning. In keeping with how everything else had gone with my shopping experience at overstock.com, I never received a reply.

Greetings Stefan,

We have shipped your Overstock.com Order # 948268 again via a trackable ship method. Your package was shipped via the United States Post Office Priority Mail. Your tracking number is:

We just shipped your package and it should soon be trackable via the web. You can go here to track your package:

http://www.usps.com/cgi-bin/cttgate/ontrack.cgi

Please note that two orders are in route to your address. We kindly request that you refuse shipment on the second parcel reaching you and return it to sender. We have no choice but to go on the honor system here. Thank you for your cooperation

I got the same email. I think you're missing a key point here. They DID send out the original order, however, they're sending out another, this time trackable, order. So when the initial shipment arrives, you are to refuse it, leaving you with just one. It's costly for them, but it's something that needed to be done.

I just got the same email...at least we have the ability to track our packages, now.

Thanks for the swift action, Mr. Werlin.

I got the same message as the above users. Bummer that it took so long to happen, but nice to know that they're responsive.

I placed an order on 6/13 which included Can't Hardly Wait. Well, I received the disc today. It was postmarked June 20th, and as if that wasn't bad enough it was also shipped media mail. The disc slipped out of the case, and was scratched badly. Another wonderful experience with overstock

Hopefully, all's well that ends well

I received a similar e-mail indicating that a separate trackable shipment has been sent. It appears that it will arrive in time for me to be able to give the DVD's as a birthday gift as I intended. While none of this should have happened in the first place, I certainly can't fault overstock's attempts at making it right. They have not only incurred the additional expense and effort at sending out replacement shipments, but are putting themselves at risk in relying on the customer to return the duplicate shipment.

And while it may seem perfectly acceptable that they should do that, keep in mind that it's more than some companies would do. Plus, I found that the shipping cost had been removed from my order (I never asked for that). Assuming the order is correct and arrives undamaged, short of hand-delivering the package, I really couldn't ask for much more in tyring to remedy this.

Yeah, I have no problem with media mail, although first class is just as cheap for one dvd. The fact they wait to ship a movie, then don't even ship it out first class or priority really annoys me.

I ordered on 6-12 but it didn't get shipped until 6-21. Emailed them after receiving the package today, they're refunding my $3.95 shipping fee and placing $5 coupon in my account(quick response). Can't say I'll use it soon. But I received my order in good condition, even though I thought the packaging job was subpar.

Greetings Robert,

We have shipped your Overstock.com Order #****** again via a trackable ship method. Your package was shipped via the United States Post Office Priority Mail. Your tracking number is:

*******************

Interesting...I received the same message...Difference is, I never e-mailed Mr. Werlin in the first place. But, hey, I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth. I'll accept any help I can get. Although, at this point, the USPS site is still saying, "sorry, no such tracking number has been entered, please wait" Haven't I waited long enough?

Me too and I agree completely. I'm glad it's taken care of and as requested by the BBB, I'll let them know that it's been settled.

I'm still curious about how many orders are going to show up at my door, but I'm glad that it appears that I will be getting my dvds

Has anybody been able to Track/Confirm their shipment using the number provided by Overstock.com?

I still can't get the number to work. Maybe it is too early, as the usps.com site says. I received the email Friday morning with the tracking number.

Just a strange thought- we weren't all given the same number, were we? My tracking number ends as follows:

***************33102

Hopefully nobody else got the same number.
