DVD Import: How long does it take to get a refund anyway?

Ordered a DVD from DVD Import. After four weeks, nothing is shipped. *******s charged my credit card when I ordered the DVD; now I've told them to cancel the order and I have to WAIT for my refund.

What the heck is this? Crappy store... won't ever deal with them again.

Don't ever order from this outfit! The same thing happened to me and they removed the order from my history before I got my refund, so the made me fax my credit card bill to them! I eventually got my refund. They charge your card when you place the order, not when the item ships!

I have had no problems with DVDImport so far, I have pre-ordered several titles which I received in 4-5 days after shipping.
Only Midway SE took a few weeks because it was on back-order.

Contact your CC company and dispute the charge.

I actually had a good experience cancelling with them, though because of the person who mentioned and item being removed from his History, I just printed mine out for back up, just in case.

I place and order on the 26th of March and immediately attempted to cancel it and could not find a way to do this, so I mailed their customer service. I didn't hear anything back so after the holiday I went back on the site and noticed they had somewhat of a message board system for communicating per order. I tried that out and had no problem at all. Got a reply back that the card was credited.

I will check to be sure however.

I also mentioned to them about charging cards before an item ships. They are the only eTailer that I've used that does this. The reason I canceled was I found the same disk in zone 2 widescreen right after placing the order.

I will order from them again. I'm curious how long it takes for them to ship to Norway. I'll let folks know.

I wish however that there was an easy way to cancel and order (not charging cards before shipping would make that easier I'm sure)

I also thought I read on the site that cards will not be charged until shipping but I might be wrong there.

Anyway, more to come.

Jim

Still not canceled despite repeated feedback. Should I complain to the Canadian Better Business Bureau? Getting sick of it.

For others, you can find it at:

If you are having problems and canada has a bbb, you definitely should open an incident with them.

This is odd though, they canceled my order the same day I requested it. I'll post the correspondence here.

Hello, I sent a message concerning this order but have not received a response. I placed this order prematurely and immediately asked that it be cancelled. I was bit disturbed that my card was charged immediately as well. Every other retailer online I do business with does not charge cards until a product is ready to ship. This particular order is a preorder and I didn't expect my card to be charged right away. That isn't my big concern however, I'm more concerned with the process of cancelling the order as I had not meant to place the order yet. Is this possible? Will you credit my card? Please advise. Jim

already credited dear client , Best regards
My status on the font page reads "completed", but if I check the details, I see the following: Credited on 4/3/2002

I wonder, is anyone getting back to you? How are you contacting them? I did mine via the web interface.

I went via the web interface. After the BBB threat, they said they would credit me within a week. They didn't reply my previous two reminders for credit.

Threats work.

yup they sure do :-) In some countries anyway, in Norway, they'd probably just send you a bill. Threat tax you know. Then nothing would happen anyway.
