Anybody here use deepdiscountcd.com yet?

I placed my first order from them. While they did not have everything I was looking for (just one artist, the Handsome Family), I was still amazed by how much they had, and many CDs under ten dollars that go for considerably higher at amazon.com. And I even found some that were in limited availability or just not available at all thru amazon.com, such as Surprise by Syd Straw. And on an average, they were three to five dollars cheaper on prices than amazon.com, and I even found one I've been wanting for $12 that amazon.com is charging $18.00 for.

They also have great prices on box sets, about ten dollars or more cheaper than amazon.com. And all for free shipping.

The only thing I didn't care for was that I had to enter in my information as if I was a new customer, which I could not understand why they didn't have my info on file from deepdiscountdvd. I understand they are different stores, but I was able to go amazon.co.uk my first time and I put in my amazon.com user name and password and they had my info on file so I didn't have to register there. Registering at DDCD isn't that big of a deal, tho.

I used them, too and ws impressed. I ordered two relatively obscure folk releases ("The Executioner's Last Song" by The Pine Valley Cosmonauts and "Outlaws and Dreamers" by Dick Gaughan). Was amazed that they actually had them and they were at much better prices than CD Now or Amazon. Deliver was pretty prompt, too. I was also a little ticked at having to re-enter my personal information, but now that it's done, I won't have to do it again.

Yes, I've used them many times and have been very satisfied. I recommend them to my friends a lot.

I placed an order just over 2 weeks ago for 3 not so mainstream titles, 2 older releases by Delerium and the new Kidneythieves release. I received a shipping notice for the Kidneythieves CD last week but haven't received it yet nor any shipping notices on the Delerium CDs. All 3 items said ship in 2-3 days when I placed the orders. Looks like my tastes might be a little too obscure for them.

This is a real shot in the dark here - but isn't Delerium on Nettwerk? I've been having some troubles with a couple of Nettwerk releases taking a little too long, so I wonder if the problem is at Nettwerk's end. Not trying to start any rumors here at all!! It's just an observation.......

I have used Deep Discount for over a year and have been extremely pleased with them overall.
I usually get my DVDs in about 3 days via Media Mail. That translates to receiving discs on the Friday or Saturday BEFORE street date, but usually no later than Monday!

The other real benefit of DDD is that they have a customer service line that is staffed by REAL people. So if you have a problem with an order they can address it immediately.

And their prices aren't bad either (with free shipping)!

Their newer releases are on Nettwerk but the older stuff, which I ordered, was on various independent labels. I think Cleopatra released some of it.
