Was expecting it to be running this morning. What a drag but totally expected by now.

They once said it would be ready on a specific date, and then way later into that afternoon they changed the date, so don't be shocked if they do the same today.

While I cannot definitively say that Mark Harrill no longer works at DVD Planet, the last time I mentioned the name to a CSR they did not recognize it. Additionally, the reason I had been given previously for the delay in QuoteMachine order processing was that the person who had handled that was no longer with DVD Planet, and they were training a new person. Finally, the last several e-mails to Mark Harrill went unanswered. Add it all up, and it looks like a safe bet he's no longer there.

My biggest concern is if they are not
selling used dvds, then why would
they buy them?

Looks like our email address is now
are trade-in account.
Not our issued quote number?

Also when I head to checkout, some
dvds are dropped from the final
trade in quote. Oh well.....

Still nice to have it back finally.

I guess, but they sold used dvds on site
and now just buying is well unusual.

I'm getting a final quote that is $20 less than what it originally was when I went to check out. Would you say 'oh well' to that? I wouldn't. A big 'fuck you' to DVD Planet. I waited all this time for nothing. Guess I will just unload these on e-bay and DVD Talk. They are all pretty damn good titles.

Happened for me also -- make sure you check and don't send the titles which they dropped. It was annoying because I had it perfectly fitted in the box, then 2 were not included.

There were about 12 to 15 titles I tried that is not in their Quote Machine or had different UPCs -- really wanted to offload some of them.

I am going to be putting up a few titles for DVDplanet but I have one question for the disks that are rejected do they send them back or just discard them?

Sometimes UPCs will vary slightly based on the security device (almost-flat rounded square with "circuitry" underneath or raised rectangle with really thin, really sharp metal pieces inside). I believe they take the title with a slightly different UPC as long as it matches specs (e.g., one-disc vs. two-disc, FS vs. WS...).

At least the way it used to work, they sent them back (but maybe took the postage costs out of your total credit?).

Now that Mark H. seems to have vanished, they may have changed procedures on both of these issues.

Yeah, I lost more than half of my titles when I went to check out. If DVDplanet is not accepting those titles, they shouldn't even give quotes for them. Such a disappointment.

I only lost one of the ones they gave me a quote on. I did a search for the old Guns of the Navarone Special Edition, it came up for around $5-$6 or so, but when I got to the last screen it wasn't there anymore.

Are many of the titles you guys are seeing disappear old discs that now have newer versions out?

I shipped my order this morning, media mail, insured. I'll update you guys once I see the credit on my account.

I added 14 titles to the cart and when I went to checkout only 2 showed. I hope they get this fixed quickly.

Looks like they fixed that little glitch. All my titles have been placed in the shopping cart and are ready to ship out.
